I bought this as the next step in transitioning to using my boyfriend's wire skipping rope. When I initially used his it really huet my feet when I hit them so I bought a far lighter one to master the technique. Right after ordering I saw this one and the weighted handles really appealed to me as I do struggle with strength in my wrists so thought this could be a good way to gradually build up the strength.One thing I love about this skipping rope is the packaging. It looks way more expensive than it is and as such would make a really good gift. I also love the Kinder Surprise style build it yourself thing!I didn't actually really feel the difference with the weighted handles. At first! The second day I used it I could definitely feel the strain in my wrists but after 3 days and multiple sessions I think I've got used to it. It's worth mentioning that you can easily remove the weights if you want to.I'll probably continue to use this one even when I do feel ready to use my boyfriend's heavier rope, mainly for the additional wrist strengthening that I feel I get from this one.

The rope detaches from the handle, whilst you are skipping. This is a bad rope.I did think of a work around. I tied a knot in at each end of the rope. Now it no longer comes out- but it doesn't spin as smoothly.I will keep skipping until breaks and then throw it away and not purchase again from this company or design of rope

Positives - Nice box, comes with spare washers for the weight, and a bag. The handles are solid and have a smooth bearing.Negatives - rope split within an hour. The supplied rubber sleeve moves all over the show which causes a less consistent work out. The rope itself feels too light weight wise. The rope came away from the handles at least 5 times within the hour and needed to be re inserted. Prior to it coming away from the handles it obviously gets longer again ruins any consistency.Items sent back for a refund.

This product is definitely well made, I wouldn't be so sure its lightweight as the handles are weighted to help with exercise. It was perfect in every aspect apart from I would have loved something to clip the rope as it was metal inside and it was a bit too long for me, the handles attach to the rope separately so adjusting the length is easy, it was just cutting it to size for me!

The biggest problem with this skipping rope is that the clasp that holds the rope does not work well at all. From the first usage, the cable came out after just a few minutes. During a 30 minute skipping session, the cable could easily come out more than five times, rendering it at the least impractical and at the most impossible to use. It's a shame, because the weight of the handles and the cable are the best of any rope I've used - but what's the point if the produce is unusable.

The ropes arrived in a nice little box with a few accessories which I thought was very nice!One of the handles that I received looked a bit bashed but I was not too bothered about it.And now finally I get round to using these beautifully presented ropes, what a disaster. For the first half hour I got good use out of the ropes; tangle free, light weight and just felt good to use. Then after that the coating had began ALREADY to expose the inner wire- leading to non-stop tangling and now the ropes begin the fall out the handles. Wires are no good for outdoor use.

This is rubbish. Very poor quality rope and not fit for purpose. After 1 minute of skipping the rope was kinked in multiple places as it left the handle causing the rope to stop spinning naturally. Very disappointed. The search for a high quality jump rope continues as this certainly is not it

Not happy, looks amazing but the rope keeps sliding out when I skip (had to super glue it in) and the ropes now long enough. I'm 6 ft 1 and it needs to be way longer. If the rope was longer and stayed in the item would be perfect because it is light weight, very attractive to look and skips well :(
