Thor 712nf Replacement Nylon Face 1.1/2in

The original Nylon face came slightly unscrewed, and using it to chop out a mortise stripped the threads. Make sure to check it before using it to make sure it hasn't come unscrewed. The new one is great, as was the old one before the threads stripped.If you are a woodworker get a Thor - 712R Soft And Hard Faced Hammer. I've got a wooden handle. I'm sure the plastic handle is fine too, but it's $7 or $8 more.

I bought this to customize my Thor mallet to double nylon faces. Fits perfectly.

The inserts were perfect, however, no fault of the product or supplier, the thread wasn’t the same as the thread on the mallet although they were both coarse threads which can easily be mistaken especially when you don’t have a thread gauge.

I got this as one of four different heads to supposedly fit a headless Thor hammer I had got very cheaply. I spent a lot of time trying to establish the thread size on the heads before giving up and just ordering the four cheapest. This one fitted a treat, but three orange ones turned out to be too big, but at least one should fit another Thor hammer I have in store and it was my mistake, and I guess that's why they were cheap.
