So I bought this pull up bar July 2020 to install in my garage (into the wood studs). I read mixed reports about whether this was recommended (as opposed to needing a cement or brick wall), but I opted not to add any 2x4s for added support, just directly into the studs. The bolts provided seemed sufficient, and I am 5'11 190lbs. It took us about 4 hours to securely install, but the bar does not seem to budge at all. I'm not worried about ripping it out, but to be on the safe side I don't do anything crazy on it. Just traditional pull ups, chins ups, maybe some toes to bar or hanging upside down.I loved that it is adjustable, as many other brands online do not have an option for adjusting the width across. And I needed to be exact for the wood studs. This was the least expensive, just a little over $100 at the time of writing this review. Many others were closer to $200-300. The hardware itself seemed very well built, and served its purpose perfectly. It included long screws and plastic pieces which the screws go into (anchors), and washers. There are also screws to secure the bar in place so it does not rotate, and the diameter of the bar feels perfectly sized for me. There is a bit of a grip on the bar which I liked, although after doing about a week of daily pullups I can definitely feel my hands a little tender. Overall no complaints, it met all my expectations, and I am very satisfied after about a week of use. Just make sure you have someone very handy for the installation. Once you get it done I highly recommend a set of gymnastics rings for other exercises like ring dips or face pulls.Hope this helps!

Good quality, easy to mount directly to wall studs due to flexible width. Check the dimensions before ordering as it it bigger than many others, which I wanted.

I have used a pull up bar on my door for years but decided to get a nice one for garage. This product is perfect. I had to modify the placement of supports as seen in photo because of how my garage doors are, but I can still do any type of pull up you can think of. Also I don't have to bend my knees anymore like with door mounted one. Bar is good diameter and has some grip to it which is nice/not completely smooth metal. Wasn't available on Prime so took 10 days to get from CA to TN but worth the wait!

Great product, if you know how to actually find the beams, make sure it's even, and know how to use a drill. I think the negative comments are from people who aren't familiar with installing these. Best thing to do is get a really big magnet at Lowe's, etc. and find the beams that way. Metal was solid along with washers and bolts.

The torx bolt kept spinning and would not screw in and tighten in place.The gold bolt retainer kept spinning when attempting to tighten and there was no way to get behind it to secure.I left it without those bolts and hope it holds up!

It was perfect for my new gym. I cross braced the studs and attached to the cross braces. This added a lot of structural integrity which allows me to do toes 2 bar, butterflies and Kipping. Again I love it.

Gym quality pull up bar. We bought this to replace a more expensive 3 in 1 pull up, dip and leg raise product. We wanted something with a lot more room to do both pull ups and advanced calisthenics. You’ll definitely want to look at the product specifications when planning where to put it as it is 48” wide and the bar sits around 32” from the wall. We put it in our garage.The pull up bar itself is 1 1/4 inches in diameter which feels a lot better than a 1 inch diameter bar that comes with a lot of the home use sets. It also came delivered with the lag screws which a lot of the sets do not include and have to be purchased separately.

Easy to install less than an hour. Works great with all included mounting hardware. I’m 6’5 and 245lbs and have had no issues.
