Essential Essential Oil
I'm new to essential oil use with careful research, and this was one of the first two oils I ever bought, and from Eden's Garden. I had not had previously known experience with Clary Sage but like the benefits offered. I mainly bought this as a euphoric calming agent for bad days where my antidepressant doesn't help me enough. Secondary benefits are menstrual cycle use. And clary sage just smells beautiful- floral, herbal, feminine. This is one of many great essential oils with various uses. As mentioned, I mainly use as aromatherapy, usually at night. I will sniff it straight or apply a small amount. I've tried a dab on my third eye and it's not irritating to my skin but I seemed to get the slightest headache for a little bit, so it should mainly be diluted. I made a lovely linen spray using 20 drops, a half portion of vodka and half water. It does have such a great calming effect. It is advisable to avoid driving, and alcohol makes clary sage's effects more apparent. As far as menstrual use goes, I've only been through one occasion at the time of writing this review. I mixed a few drops with lotion and rubbed on my abdomen and lower back twice, and it relaxed my minor cramps well. I should note that I am on hormonal birth control so I do not currently experience a natural cycle, and do not experience intense symptoms as I once did so can't compare. I do know that clary sage may act in a way to mimic estrogens, and as far as I've read the full, long term effects aren't known but clary sage is known to be safe for most people. Ask a professional if estrogen is a risk factor for your health, and seek extensive information. Another purpose of clary sage is cosmetic use as a toner or scalp treatment to fight oily hair. I haven't yet tried the latter, but I've tried it as a toner a few times. It seemed to give my combination skin a bit of an oily effect and may have encouraged a few emerging spots. I have not fully explored its effects and results are inconclusive so far.I'm still experimenting with clary sage's uses, but I love its smell, antidepressant and pms relaxant effects. I am very happy with the Eden's Garden oils I've bought so far, they are great quality and unbeatable price. I am not a professional, all opinions and experiences are my own, and I encourage informed use of this product.

And I have a pretty high threshold
I'm 57, and have had numerous orthopedic surgeries over the course of my lifetime, and given birth to three children. Pain is not knew to me. And I have a pretty high threshold. I have never been one to use OTC pain relievers and have only used opiates post operatively. All that said: Pain has been part of my life most all the time, but lately it was disturbing my sleep. Not okay. I had read about people using medical marijuana for pain and grew curious enough to start reading about it, wondering if Cannabis sativa oil might work for me. I picked this particular oil because the company, Edens Garden, is run by women. Plus, I liked the label, and several reviewers have had good luck with pain relief.I ordered a few books on the subject to help me properly use the oil, but I began using the oil as soon as it arrived, before the books did. That was my first mistake, my own lack of knowledge. I read that some reviewers opted to put a drop on the back of their tongues, so I tried that, and yes, it tastes just terrible, and worse, the foul taste lingers for hours. I'm familiar with using herbal tinctures, but this oil was particularly strong. The books arrived, and I read that it would probably be better to try using it on my skin, but using several drops was evidently way too much. I had some pretty awful nightmares as a result. Next: I used a carrier oil, also in the books, liquid coconut oil in my case. And, because I wanted to be able to carefully measure just one drop at a time, I found the European dropper bottle was too imprecise for me, I transferred the oil into a tiny Bach Flower bottle with dropper. Now, I can use "just one drop," with my carrier oil, which I smear on my skin first, then drop on the essential oil and rub it in. And it has worked beautifully every night for several weeks. I have experienced complete pain relief and a restful night sleep for the first time in years.

Lemonheads
This stuff smells EXACTLY like the candy Lemonheads. Not just lemon drops, which is a generic term for lemon hard candy; Lemonheads are a variety of lemon drop, but they're their own unique thing, and this EO smells just like them. I mean its uncanny--Lemonheads are 100% artificial everything, but I almost wonder if they didn't pattern their artificial smell after this EO just to make it distinct from other lemon candies. When I was a kid I played baseball in SoCal for about 10 months out of the year. I played on a field that was part of a complex of four diamonds, and on Saturdays (occasionally Sundays too, depending upon the league playing at the time) games began at 8:20 A.M. and ran until it got too dark to see. Either after or before my own game, depending upon the schedule, a few friends and I would volunteer to keep score and operate the scoreboard for one of the diamonds. Our recompense was either one "big" candy like a Snickers or Fun Dip from the snack bar, or two "small" candies like Red Hots, Now 'n Laters, or...Lemonheads. I Invariably I selected the Lemonheads and another small candy, rotating through the options. But I always picked Lemonheads for one of the two as they were obviously my favorite. When I'm too senile to know my own name I'll remember the Lemonhead smell if I happen upon it. And that's what this EO smells like, and it was like a freaky trip back through space and time to age 11 when I unscrewed the lid of that bottle. I like the smell, but the experience of it the first time was preternatural.
