Wonderful addition to any N A bar stock, makes a great alternative adult beverage dude!

Makes any drink taste like you stirred it with a burning tire. Seriously, it tastes like you set a stick of black licorice on fire in a glass, waited for it to reduce into a bubbling puddle of goo, poured your drink on it to extinguish the flames, and then drank the resulting concoction. Award winning?? Award for absolutely most terrible tasting thing that humankind has ever created, maybe. If I could return this and have them refund me 10x what I paid for the bottle in the first place, it still wouldn't come close to covering the cost of the therapy I'm going to need for years to come. It's seriously epic level terrible. Better for playing pranks on people rather than anything to try and actually enjoy. I only gave it 1 star bc Amazon's rating system doesn't go any lower.

This is my first purchase of Lyre's. I wanted to make something similar to a Kalua and Cream and my first attempt was delicious! I didn't measure anything exactly but here's what I used: A shot of espresso using my Kuerig and French Roast k-cup. I added about 2 oz of Lyre's original coffee non-alcoholic "alcohol", about an ounce of salted caramel syrup and about 6-8 oz half and half with lots of ice. It tastes exactly as I expected. I didn't have coke or anything similar so I left it out. I think you could also top it off with a small amount of club soda if you want some fizz. I will definitely purchase more of the Lyre's options in the future. It's a bit pricey but for me it's worth it to have a nice cocktail without the alcohol.

A very strange flavor. Fruity but with coffee smell, but not really coffee flavor. I cannot describe it except to say, yuck. I was expecting sweetness, like coffee liquor this is not that.

As should be expected there's a strong nose of dark coffee on Lyre's Coffee Originale. To taste there's dark coffee, sweet with a hint of tartness. Mouthfeel is just a little lighter than perhaps it seems it should be for a liqueur replacement, but overall it works great as a replacement. Should work well as a replacement in any coffee liqueur cocktails at one to one. I've tried this in a few but I rather like a Brave Bull (1 part Coffee Originale, 2 parts Lyre's Agave Blanco, on ice) which works nicely as a nice after-dinner cocktail, although a tad thin (I may add some agave nectar next time). That being said this is largely one-note in flavor and may well be reproducible through other, cheaper, methods. And I wouldn't bother with using it neat or on the rocks simply because you could just make black coffee or espresso with sugar to achieve the same effect, and with an exact coffee profile you prefer should you care for something a little different than this one. Call it more 3.5 stars rather than just 3.

Not cheap, but the best tasting brand of non alcoholic “spirit”. I’ve always liked the taste of coffee liqueur w/cola, and this is a decentSubstitute. I have no health issues. I do drink alcohol, but like to cut down. Want to stay healthy. And more fun to have a mocktail, then just a soda or soda water :)

I really rate the Lyre’s Coffee originale. Goes out of stock really quickly so when it’s in stock, I buy a few. It’s not particularly nice in its own, but with a mixer such as Coke, it’s really lovely. Only gripe is that it’s a bit pricey, but I do like it!
