The 3M Versaflo Powered Air Purifying Respirator TR-600-HIK provides durable protection for employees even in harsh environments. Includes everything required to get started: M-307 Respiratory Hard Hat Assembly with Premium Visor and Faceseal, TR-602N Motor/Blower, TR-632 High Capacity Lithium-ion Battery, BT-30 Length Adjusting Breathing Tube, TR-626 High Durability Belt, TR-6530N OV/AG/HE Cartridge, TR-6500 Filter Cover, TR-641N Single Station Battery Charger Kit, TR-971 Airflow Indicator, BT-926 High Temperature Breathing Tube Cover, TR-6600 Prefilter (x2), TR-662 Spark Arrestor (x2). Warning: Respirators help protect against certain airborne contaminants. Before use, the wearer must read and understand the User Instructions provided as a part of the product packaging. Follow all local regulations. In the U.S., a written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910. 134 including training, fit testing and medical evaluation.

**Q: Can it be used with glasses**
A: yes, no problem at all to wear glasses with this helmet

**Q: is there a way to extend the hose? I'd like to hang the battery and hose up where my power cords come from?**
A: I don’t know if there is an extension available from 3m but the hose has ends that connect to the helmet and power supply. I feel extending the hose would be difficult. I wear the unit for hours at a time and don’t have a problem.

**Q: Does it protect from Asbestos in a remedial/removal project situation?**
A: 1926.1101(h)(3)(ii) 
Employers must provide an employee with tight-fitting, powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) instead of a negative pressure respirator selected according to paragraph (h)(3)(i)(A) of this standard when the employee chooses to use a PAPR and it provides adequate protection to the employee. 

1926.1101(h)(3)(iv)(A) 
A tight-fitting powered air-purifying respirator or a full facepiece, supplied-air respirator operated in the pressure-demand mode and equipped with either HEPA egress cartridges or an auxiliary positive-pressure, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) whenever the employees are in a regulated area performing Class I asbestos work for which a negative exposure assessment is not available and the exposure assessment indicates that the exposure level will be at or below 1 f/cc as an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA). 

There are also situations not spelled out in the standard where the concentration could dictate the level of respiratory protection (APF) needed.

**Q: Can it be used when spraying closed cell spray foam?**
A: I believe it could be used in most situations. It would be important to call 3M directly and find out exactly which filter you need for your use. I have done this in the past and found them very helpful.
