Hanes Unisex Adjustable Reusable Face Cover (Pack Of 3)

I have tried many styles of masks in recent weeks, and these are the best by far. Very breathable, comfortable, and well-made. I was happy to read complaints that these masks run small, since I'm an extra-small adult and most other masks so far have been far too large. These were actually huge on me at first, but after washing in hot and drying on high, most of them fit perfectly. Some didn't shrink as much, and I'll either wash/dry them again or give them to people with larger faces. For the ones that are now perfect on me, in the future, I'll wash them in cold and line-dry to prevent over-shrinkage. For folks with large faces/heads, I'd recommend line-drying or low-heat machine-drying to reduce shrinkage. If they've already shrunk too much, perhaps wetting, stretching, then line-drying could salvage them. In the Q/A section, I see that dozens of folks are asking the same questions about how many layers, where they were made, and whether there are nose clamps. They must not have read the existing Q/A or any of the reviews, because all of this was already answered. I'll repeat here: there are 3 layers of stretchy jersey cotton. There is no nose clamp. Use some paper tape like nurses do (my 2nd photo) to close the gap (and prevent fogged glasses). There is no filter or space to add one. The ear loops are made of the same stretchy jersey cotton and very comfortable. My package says 'made in Bangladesh,' but other folks' packages have said made in China. You'll be able to wash and re-use each one many times. It's a good product at a good price. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I have been making my own masks, but the kiddos seem to misplace them every day! With the prospect of mandatory masks in school this year I decided to look for a bulk alternative so the kids would always have a clean mask for the school day. These did not disappoint - they are super soft and comfortable! They are a bit big for the kiddos so I've purchased some colorful cord locks to shorten the ear loops; but they fit adults very well without any adjustments. They aren't fitted, so these might not be great for people who need to wear a mask for extended periods of time... but for an inexpensive bulk buy they are great! Just a note from reading other reviews - - the package I received were made in Bangladesh and they were great. Other reviewers' masks appear to be made in China and Vietnam and those did not receive the best reviews. I've ordered a second package for my parents, so we shall see where those were made and if there is any difference in quality.

Updated July 24, 2020: My kid finds the ear loops uncomfortable after wearing the mask for a while. I think the ear loops are too thick for her little ears. Also I did find that after multiple washes they shrank more so they’re on the small side for grown up faces. I wore one of them while I was working out outside and it was harder to breathe because the fabric was tighter across my face (due to the mask being on the smaller side). But I find all cotton masks uncomfortable during workouts. I’ve downgraded from 5 to 4 stars. Just wish they fit either the kids or the grownups better. Still a good deal for all cotton masks so I’ll keep them around as backups cuz let’s face it you guys: mask wearing is going to be our reality for a while longer. Bought these on June 19, 2020. 50 masks for 31 bucks. I received 50 white cotton masks. The packaging of my masks indicated they were made in Vietnam. If you look up the RN number on the packaging on the FTC’s site it looks to be registered to Hanes. Makes sense. These masks feel like undershirt material. Or like I’m wearing a tighty whitey over my face. The product description says three ply. I can only confirm there are two layers that I can pull apart from each other. It’s possible there’s a third layer in there, I just can’t feel it for sure. The cotton is indeed soft. The ear loops are stretchy. They’re comfortable. The quality for the price is great. Plus I like that they’re cotton. They feel like real cotton. I bought these for my 7 year old when (if???) she goes back to school this fall. I’ve bought much more expensive masks on Etsy and other sites. These are hands down better than the Etsy masks but not as good as masks I’ve bought from Rendall Co. (but at almost $20 per mask!). I also tried masks from Avocado Green Mattress which were reasonably priced but not comfortable. I like these masks from Amazon because I won’t be upset if my kid loses them at school. The biggest hesitation in buying these were complaints from other reviewers about sizing. The masks are all more or less the same size but there is some slight inconsistency in sizing and length of ear loops. Not enough to be a big deal. See my pics. I took a picture of the packaging showing the RN number and country of origin. I also have a pic of the mask before I washed (bottom mask) and after I machine washed in hot water with bleach and dried on high heat (top wrinkly mask). Some shrinkage but really not a big deal. The masks fit well over a 7 year old’s face. I have an average sized woman’s face (admittedly a little fatter after gaining the corona15) and they fit me just fine. They also fit over my husband’s slightly larger than average head/face. Stay safe!

This is not the same as the Hanes cotton 3 ply white masks that we ordered from Hanes. This one does not have the metal nose piece (description states that it is included) and it is 3 ply though slightly thinner material than the ones we got from Hanes. It is soft and for the price I'll make it work. This fits my husband well as is, leaves gaps on the sides of my face, and is way too big for my 4 year old (granted it is an adult size, so that is expected). I added one pleat to each side and it then does not gap on my face and fits well. My 4 year old needed three pleats on each side (only added one per side to the original Hanes masks) and I folded the ear loops over on each side to make it fit her. With the adjustments, the 4 year old wears this and the original Hanes masks like a champ. The picture from top to bottom shows the 4 year old's mask, mask with one pleat, and mask as is. Next photo is zoomed in to show adjustments made to make this mask fit perfect on a young kid.

The masks are all packaged in a single plastic bag. They are clean and they are protected from dirt and damage. There is no brand logo or tag on the masks, it only has a sticker label for care instructions and general cautions on the bag and they are made in China. However, I am very surprised by the quality and craftsmanship of these masks. The stitches are strong and the cotton fabric is thick. The ear loops are also flexible enough for a good stretch. I have purchased over 12 cloth masks from a few 3rd party sellers at Amazon and the masks are hit and miss. Some are paper thin and some with very weak stitching or bad sewing. They were also expensive, averaging $5-$6 each after tax. I paid less than $1 per mask now, so I regret some of my previous cloth mask purchases for sure. They are made from 100% cotton, so they are very comfortable to wear. The size is good for an average adult face and the masks fit me nicely. I can breathe through them without too much effort. They are actually 3-layer. I pull the front and back layers apart gently by using my fingernails and hold the mask under the light and I can see a middle layer inside from the side view. The masks also passed the light test that doctors recommended. If you hold up the cloth mask and lights can go though all the layers easily, it is not protective enough for anything. Although these masks are not medical grade, they are comfortable, 3-layer, good craftsmanship, cheap and most importantly reusable for great value. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Too bad they are not individually wrapped and sealed, otherwise it is good to give some of my extra ones away if I see people don’t have a mask and use their t-shirts or scarves at the stores.

I was pleasantly surprised by the soft texture of these, they feel like a soft T-shirt, actually softer than the T-shirt I'm wearing right now. As others have said, they did have a sort of plasticky smell when they arrived, but smell fine after one run through the wash, and no problems with laundering them. They're a lot lighter and more comfortable than I was expecting for this kind of bulk value. Good for summer wear. I got them in white, which is actually more of a cream color. This is fine with me, but be aware if you're intending to use bleach on them, you might make them lighter than they originally were. However, I wouldn't recommend using bleach just to sterilize them, or anything, as that's quite excessive. The coronavirus we're all worried about can't survive a normal laundering with normal detergent, or even getting ignored for 24 hours on a soft surface like this. There is no filter pocket, and no metal nose clip, but this is more or less what you'd expect at this price. The fit is fine for me, and I only imagine it would be too small for people with very large faces. At this price for this quantity, I definitely recommend it. You can stop hand-washing your one or two masks and just throw them in the hamper when you're done with them and not run out, even have enough to lend to others in your household.

I rarely write reviews good or bad, but I truly felt that this deserved to be heard by others to prevent the same mistake I made in purchasing these. Amazon had this as a daily deal a few days ago, and the price was too good to pass up... or so I thought. These masks are useless for me. I read some reviews that stated these were way too small, and I read some stating that they were more than big enough for even larger adults. Well I must have the biggest face in the world because this might have been the tightest fitting mask I have ever put on. There is absolutely no stretch on the left and right stitching that goes from your upper cheek to your jaw line. There is extremely little stretch on the ear loops. My wife put one on, who is almost as petite as they come, and while they fit her much better, she said it wasn’t very comfortable. The masks are also greatly inconsistent with sizing (See photo). But let’s put all that aside for a moment... The Amazon product page that I purchased from states the following within the product page and description: 1. Hanes brand reusable cotton face masks 2. Anti microbial finish, lasting up to 10 washes 3. Three layers of coverage 4. “Ear-loops constructed with internal rubber banding for a comfortable fit.” 5. Adjustable nosepiece 6. Panel pleats for contoured facial coverage Here are the facts: 1. These are NOT HANES BRAND. They arrive in an unbranded package, and nowhere on the package or mask themselves indicate that these are Hanes. (See Photo) 2. No indication anywhere on the package that these are treated with anti-microbial properties. (See photo) 3. There are only 2 layers of material sewn together on this mask. There is no 3rd layer. 4. While there is an elastic of some sort, it is barely stretchable enough to even closely provide a comfortable fit. 5. There is NO NOSEPIECE sewn into this mask. The mask is all cotton and very little elastic on the ear loops. 6. There are NO PANEL PLEATS. See photos.

I liked these masks. well made. No nose wire but once I got my eye glasses to sit on the mask they were great for me. It took me a while a get it to sit properly on my face, they could be a little bigger for my large face. Hard to keep in place when talking with the mask on. They washed up well in the washing machine. Put them in a mesh bag for the delicates and they washed up well. I looked for cotton mask incase the poly or paper mask irritated the eczema on my face. The 50 mask will go a long way.

These are handy for the COVID19 world we have to live in, where wearing a face mask is mandated (indoors) everywhere you go. At a dollar a piece, they are handy. Comfortable, I do not overheat in them. Easy to breathe through for those that overheat easily wearing a face mask. Just wish the length was longer so they fit ear to ear. Would not recommend for someone with a larger face shape. PROS: package of 50! Comfortable to wear. Easy to breathe in without overheating. Very stretching fabric. Wash and dry well, no shrinkage. T-shirt type material. Soft fabric. CONS: Must be careful not to over stretch ear loops. Fabric does not go ear to ear, so they would be NO good for someone with a large face shape. Thicker ear loops than other face masks I own. Not adjustable to adjust to fit different people. These would be ideal for children, and adults, teens who are on the more smaller side. Another buyer indicated they sewed on the end of the ear loop to make them fit more snugly. Overall a good deal for the price. Just not for those with larger heads. As these are not good for my teenage son who has a larger head. Hence, the 4 stars instead of 5.

These are extremely comfortable. Although to get the best fit, they need to be washed once and shrink slightly. My entire family wears them. My 12 year old just ties a knot in the ear loop. They are made of t-shirt like soft fabric. They wash extremely well. Because they are white I can bleach them. The price is fantastic and I have zero complaints. They fit better and more comfortably than almost any other mask we have. Only improvement would be a nose tightener, but it doesn't really need it, unlike most other masks. Very happy with cost and comfort of the product.

Unwashed, these masks are quite nice — well made, soft, and fit well. However, when washed in hot water and dried before use, expect significant shrinkage. My recommendation would be to wash these in hot water, and hang dry. I don't have an exceptionally large face. In fact, I'd say it's an average 40 y/o male face. However, these masks do not quite fit after washing in hot water and running through the dryer. My eyeglasses would barely stay on because my ears were being pulled out from the sides of my head. After washing, they fit my wife perfectly. That said, as mentioned before, they are well made, comfortable and reusable, keeping waste out of landfills. Just avoid if you require a larger fit.

As many posters have noted, these have a warning on the package that is not in the original listing - that they may contain copper and/or silver (the listing says, "100% Jersey Cotton"). It feels like they have tiny fibres in them that stay on your face and itch long after removal. They shrink quite a bit after washing, and have no elastic on the sides or ear straps (instead it's simply a few stitches on the sides that come apart when pulled slightly). Worst of all, they are not returnable, which was not made clear at purchase. Do not buy!
