I'm not a handy person, but I had my bidet installed within five minutes, without using any tools (though I would recommend an adjustable wrench to tighten the hose connection). I'd also like to take a second to share a valuable lesson that I've learned over the years: with these types of bidets, you MUST NOT ignore the warning that says to close the T-valve when the bidet is not in use. It's very easy to get into the habit of always leaving your T-valve open, but doing this repeatedly and over a prolonged period of time WILL damage your water pump and, potentially, other parts of your toilet. Replacing a water pump is something you can do by yourself for relatively little money, but it's a minor hassle you can avoid entirely by reading the instructions and following them. ;) To be clear, I'm not adding in that point to shame others who've written negative reviews--I've made the mistake myself several times! Just be conscientious, and this is a great product at a great price.
