Glossia Classical Guitar Support Frame Guitar Support Right Handed

I thought I'd try this as I found using a footstool became rather uncomfortable after a while, giving me a pain in the hip. I was slightly sceptical as I've seen some reviews which make the point that cups slip. They did indeed slip - once - after about ten minutes' use. But I've been using it daily for a month now and they've not slipped at all. It's much more comfortable than using a stool and I'm very happy with it.

I have bought this as an alternative to Ergoplay for my other guitars to try and it does not do the job at all. I have followed the instructions precisely and the suction cups simply do not work. And if it works it slides as soon as you put your arm on the guitar for playing and if by miracle it stays put for more than 5 seconds, the leather strap slides on the leg... basically it is not a viable option unless you glue this thing to the guitar and put some sort of grip material on the strap for it to not slide on your leg.

This guitar support is simply brilliant.I play both classical and acoustic and have tried all manner of supports, foot stools, guitar straps....none of them have been very good. Even the very expensive ones like the Ergoplay Tappert which is supposed to be one of the best.These devices either did not stay on; the suction cups failed and kept falling off and / or put the guitar in a position which was impossible to play.When I bought this one, I was unsure of which one would arrive as there are 2 different photos. I got the one with the metal frame and leather strap. I was dubious. However, I set it up 6 months ago and have used it every day since. It has stayed in place all that time. It folds up when not in use. It's very lightweight. You can even get it into a hardcase without removing it.I would totally recommend the leather strap version of the Glossia guitar rest, it really is very very good.

If you're looking for an affordable classical guitar support, this is the one. As of now, there are 2 options in this price bracket; this and a copy of the guitano. The guitano copy isn't as well made and the suction cups fall of - this one is solid as a rock.The delivery time on amazon was 3 weeks, so I assumed it was being shipped half way round the world, but it arrived in 5 days with a uk postmark, so perhaps they are in the uk.Only negative is all the listings for this product seem to use a picture of an ergoplay as the first thumbnail (a product at 3x the price) ignore that, you're getting the metal and leather support in the other pictures.For this price, it's a steal!
