Works great
The Rankie DP to HDMI adapter works great. Just plug and play. I had it for a couple of years now and it has been working quietly ever since it was installed.

Works well and not expensive
I had a situation where my I had to connect my external monitor that only has HDMI to my PC that only accepts DP and I came across this unit. I was not sure if this was going to work or how stable the connectivity would be like. I plugged it in and things are working like a charm. The unit is well made and don’t cost much. Highly recommend it.

Inexpensive way to have a 2nd monitor for computers with DisplayPorts
I needed a 2nd monitor, my work computer only had 1 VGA output with no HDMI... it did have a DisplayPort available, so a quick look on Amazon and I found this item.It was very cheap so I took a chance and got this. I have been very happy with it! I do not have admin privileges on my work computer, but after inserting this adapter into the computer the Windows 10 OS installed and configured it without needing any credentials. I was able to change the resolution without issue as well. Now to the nitty-gritty part of the review - this is fine for office work, it will not work for gameplay or anything that needs high quality (or a lot of video power)! I could not get the color to balance with my primary monitor either although it was close enough I was able to ignore it after a bit. On one reboot of my system, I had to unplug the adapter to get it to boot up where I could see images on the screen, but this only has happened once.If you need a cheap DisplayPort adapter, this will work fine for you, but know what your getting... if you need this for your primary home computer I would suggest just getting another video card and getting your video feed from it... for me as a work computer, it met my needs just fine.

This cable works fine, lowest cost 4K Displayport Display Port to HDMI I could find. Buying again!
This is a very simple cable that does exactly what is claimed. Full-sized Display Port to HDMI 4K. Works fine, low cost, 5 stars. I just opened it and tried it out on my HP business (Elitebook) laptop that (irritatingly) has Displayport instead of HDMI. Why? Nobody knows. Well, OK, it's because the HDMI consortium charges $0.05 per port for HDMI, and Displayport is free. REALLY??? Anyway, I got this adapter, tried it on my 4K TV, and it works great. It was about half the price of the next cheapest cable, so I wondered. But the proof is in the usage, and I just tested it, no problems at all. So now I'm buying a second one so I won't have to carry it with me to the office, I will have one at home and one at work, done deal.As shown in the pictures, it is very short, but nicely flexible. And my HDMI cable is 2m long, so this is fine. With these adapters, do NOT get the ones that are just one 2" hard plug. Oh, they work OK, but it adds a lot of weird angle bulk to the cable, and puts a lot of extra pressure on a fairly fragile plug/connector combo that simply don't need it and aren't really built for the stresses of the weight of the cable hanging 2" off the plug. Something will either eventually break or loosen, to your detriment. Just use this cable-type adapter and call it a day. Buy it. Low cost, works fine, 5 stars.

Created bizarre problems with LG HD monitors with Nvidia GTX970 cards. THESE DON'T WORK.
Outwardly, the fit and finish were fine. Everything else was dismal. Product did not correctly allow HD signal to reach new HD monitors (I'm using brand new LG monitors - 4 on two desktop setups, one a graphics workstation, the other a DAW. The hardware on these two systems are virtually identical and they were built at the same time a few years ago. Graphics card was updated early last year to Nvidia GTX 970 currently considered MOtR for higher-end prosumer graphics cards. On the first system (the graphics one), the problem was that the monitor connected to it into a display-port on the graphics card refused to operate at anything but several ticks down from the native hd resolution. The second problem was that they don't tell you that they have a 'locking' mechanism on the underside of the cable head going into the display port. It isn't document in the packaging AT ALL and it's very easy to miss. Third, the 'locking mechanism' jammed so the cable adapter could not be removed without force and I was initially worried that my expensive graphics card might be damaged. I finally got it out and went to a different product I also had purchased at the same time (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01M1KJMSX/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_65). Bingo, resolution problem resolved and everything seems fine. So, one might be inclined to blame it on the operator in this case, right?Second system - worse than the first. On the DAW, I tried the other of the same model of this adapter (I purchased two) and hooked everything up. Boot system. Initially, seemed okay until after I logged into Windows -- screen flashes on then goes blank. Flashes on, goes blank. Stays on for a bit but no cursor is visible. Both screens go blank. Stay blank all the time. Shut down, swap cables around, reboot. Same tune, same dance everything works to Windows (7) log on and then after a bit screen blanks-comes-on-blanks-comes-on-blanks and stays blank. Remove display port dongle and put it another of what I installed on the graphics system to use the display port there (see above link, I bought two). Everything works just peachy-fine.End conclusion: this product don't work right and I won't be back to try anything else they make, either. You don't get to mess with my graphics. These are going back tomorrow for a full refund.

It works
Can't tell anything about longevity, but it works well, just make sure it's fully inserted into socket.

As advertised
It works well, small and discrete, sound works on the other end, necessary for computers with no HDMI ports.

2k 1440p at 60Hz and 1080p at 120Hz
For the money does a good job I couldn't see any visual quality reduction over just using the same HDMI cable. Would be nice if they included this information on the items description, max refresh rate at 2k 1440p it works at 60Hz the only visual quality problem would be running at 60Hz on a 144Hz monitor, at 1080p it's 120Hz at 720p it's 120Hz and on less than that it's again 60Hz but it might be my monitor and not the adapter. Don't have a 4k monitor so can't test it at that. Also bought a cable same brand from the same store which had problems so no idea on what your mileage on quality will be.
