Neewer Advanced 1320 LED Dimmable Bi-Color Video Light with Barndoor

Purchased several of these lights for a video recording studio. The lights themselves are great; you can set the color across a wide range of whites and adjust the intensity. However—and this is a big however—the hardware to hang the light is garbage. The small bar bounces if the light is moved. The ball head that allows adjusting the angle is insecure; that is, it doesn't tighten enough to keep the light in place. I reached out to the manufacturer, who wanted a video of the drooping light so their engineers could help solve the problem. After I sent the video, they wanted copies of my receipt for the purchase. I have no idea why they needed a receipt to fix a faulty design, but I sent it anyway. Then... crickets. I have heard nothing from them. No answer. No fix. No response. Very disappointing but it is what I have come to expect from Chinese products—Good idea; cheap implementation. This could be a 4.5–5 star product if they would just provide a stable way to attach the light to their own hangers.When I disassembled the ball head, I noticed that not all of the screws in the housing were tight and were not tightenable. They appear at least a couple of millimeters too short for their actual function. I am waiting on longer screws to arrive (a separate purchase I had to make) and will add a small piece of duct tape in the socket where the ball head sits to provide enough friction to be able to adjust the position of these lights. That is the best solution I can come up with apart from returning all the lights and starting from scratch. I have had such good success with Neewer products, that I am willing to do this fix and keep the lights. But, I will examine reviews more closely on any future products I buy from them. I shouldn't be required to design my own repairs and I shouldn't have to go without a response from the manufacturer when I provided everything they asked for.

To use the product you need the app, to use the app you must create an account with Neewer. Functionally there is absolutely no reason for them to need your email address, and create a password but they make you do it. GDPR suggests you should be able to opt out, but then you cant use your light.Super disappointed to discover this when I got my light delivered.

I was looking for an easy setup light for the studio and I am so glad I found these. The Mobile App works great even with multiple lights and I can control the light, both Brightness and Tempreturefrom the App, from the control room.The barn doors make it easy to direct the light as well.For the money, can't go wrong.

Nice quality product very durable and Bright !!!! Just make sure u have a heavy duty stand its a lil heavy.

I purchased two of these lights and each is quite heavy for a typical budget aluminum light stand - so heavy, that the stand bends forward a little and a counterweight is needed (like a sandbag) at the bottom to prevent it from tipping over.With all that weight, you'd think the thing that attaches light to the stand (in this case, a ballhead mount) would extremely solid, right? NOPE!The mount is attached to the light with screws that are so short, that they came right out on the first use and it all fell apart within 15 minutes. What awful construction!But I guess I'm glad it happened early enough for me to send both of these lights right back to Amazon.

The app works 99% of the time. Seems I tend to get too far away and it gets iffy lol, but I really have a hard time staying in place. Everything else is amazing.

The brightness was really what I expected. And the app control is excellent

The digital dial on the back makes it super easy to adjust brightness and color temp. They really take the guess work out of it.
