I’m have been wanting to give this resin craft ago for sometime, I had a IV resin kit for Christmas and really enjoyed it, but the IV resin has such short working time so I searched high and low to give the expiry resin a go and so I ordered Teexpert solely on the idea it’s did have any odour and wanted an all in 1 kit I could just give it a go oh and forgot to mention the 1:1 ratio seemed to me a sensible approach rather than some of the other brands where it was 2:1 and working out how much you finally ended up with. So I have shared in the pictures my first ever coasters made from the Teexpert beginners kit, as I said I’m a beginner at this craft and it was so easy, and so interesting to see the patterns forming, and when you go back 12 hours later it’s a surprise to see and then you have to decide what side you like best which is why I posted the both sides of my coasters. The best part about Teexpert’s resin is there is no smell, that’s definitely a Huge huge plus, the resin mixes well, very little bubbling once poured , hey but if you have a hair dryer then it’s really not difficult to end up with a bubble free finish. The resin working time is just right and you don’t need to rush. The beginners kit has everything you need to get started, I previously purchased the Teexpert) mica powders so I already had many colours to choose from (highly recommend and very reasonably priced), but tried to stick with what’s in box, although did add some of the mica black, ruby and copper powder to one coaster and I already had an enamel paint pen to put around the side of the coasters. So the kit comes with enough to make 1 of each of the coasters, I didn’t make the geocoaster because when I started I really liked the mini chopping board coaster so opted to make 2 of them instead. I found if you mix some of the fluid colour with the mica powder gave a wonderful intense colour. The resin is really crystal clear when set not dull at all. I’m newish to resin and this is the 2nd batch of 1.1 ratio resin I’ve bought,the first was a different brand (let’s resin) but after watching many many YouTube videos on resin I decided to try teexpert resin for my second batch (I don’t mix different branded resins) as some ppl seem to highly rate it,sadly this hasn’t been the case for me,my experience so far has been funky,the first pour I did just wouldn’t set,the excess (less than 5mls) has been sat in my silicone measuring cup for almost a week and still has not set so I can clean it out so basically it’s ruined that cup,it’s just a sticky nasty mess of goo that just doesn’t want to dry,yes I measured precisely,the 2nd and 3rd pours I did I tried one with mica powder and one with pigment paste whereas my first pour was clear resin,these actually have set but are way bendy when first demolded,they do cure after about a day out of the mold but in this respect I honestly found the first batch of resin I purchased from lets resin to be superior to teexpert,but this is just my personal opinion and preference plus the fact that lets resin did not ruin a silicone measuring cup but teexpert did which results in further cost to replace that and teexpert was the more expensive of the brands,I also found that teexpert holds bubbles in the resin easier than lets resin does and teexpert is more runny too,there is less odour with teexpert but tbh both brands odour was minimal and doesn’t really bother me anyway.EDIT: I was very kindly contacted by the seller and was asked to give the product another try,I have now done this,in fact I have made a couple of items to make sure there’s no problems and I’m very happy to say that I had absolutely no issues at all,I did however warm the bottles with tap water (never use kettle water for this otherwise you’ll find your resin will flash cure) just to help disperse any micro bubbles,my experience this time was really good,I made a clear item and a coloured item,I found the coloured item cured faster but both items turned out very nice indeed!I feel the seller genuinely cares about their customers and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a good experience,sadly there’s not many likeminded sellers out there so I for one would not hesitate to purchase from The DIY Workshop again,absolutely amazing product from a truly amazing company!

First attempt at using resin and this made it super easy. Delighted with the results. Great instructions included. Left for about 16 hours to cure and perfect results with no bubbles. Tried with resin only and then alcohol ink, paint and pigment powders to colour - all fabulous results. Great value - have bought another set. Highly recommend for beginners.

I have a wooden floor in the dining room and dropped a heavy item on the floor. Big dent. I mixed some of this resin up and filled the dent in the wood. Left it to cure and spot sanded it down. Looks like a knot now, you wouldn't find it if you didn't know where it was. Unconventional use but effective. The beauty is it's clear and you see the wood inside the dent.

Great resin - easy to use and dries clear no bubbles. Really pleased with this and the price was great too- thank you ☀️

Excellent product and value for money

This resin is very easy to use, ideal size for small projects. It takes about 6 hours to cure, 24 hours until it’s fully cured. It’s a lovely result to my projects every time.

Got the resin and hardener but no cups or sticks to use with it not happy

Love how clear and low smell this product has and all the little extras I received in this order . Definitely will recommend and buy it again.

I am a beginner at this but I liked this product because of price and ease of use. There are several nice colors in the pack as well as fancy materials like glitter and gold foil. I used the product up while practicing. Sadly! Since I ran out while playing around I was sad I couldn’t try the ocean-themed suggestions and used the resin and hardener on more basic projects like a plain red heart and glittery blue splat. Would buy again but money is tight this month so it may have to wait!…. PSA parents this is MESSY. It ruins sink drains and hands and surfaces!

In dem Starterset sind alle Materialien dabei die man benötigt und mehr. Die Handhabung ist sehr leicht. Ich habe damit Heiltränke für Dungeons und Dragons gebastelt. Hat sehr gut geklappt. Bei der Farbe reichen schon wenige Tropfen aus, um ein intensives Ergebnis zu erhalten. Das Aushärten dauerte ca. 24h, wie auch in der Anleitung beschrieben.

Easy to mix

Zuerst: Ich habe wirklich sehr lange überlegt, welches Set ich bestellen soll. Ich bin absolute Anfängerin und auch basteltechnisch recht unbegabt. Also bestellt und ausprobiert und es war einfach super easy! Es hat auf Anhieb geklappt, wenn man sich an die Anleitung hält. Ich hatte daraus Lesezeichen als Gastgeschenke für unsere Hochzeit gemacht und selbst unsere Hochzeitsplanerin meinte, dass es aussehe wie aus einem Etsy Shop xD Und wenn ich das hinbekomme mit diesem Set, ich die immer total schlecht in Werken und Handwerk war, dann kriegt ihr das auch hin! Ich werde es auf jeden Fall nochmal bestellen, weil es wirklich viel Spaß macht mit Epoxidharz zu bastelnP.S. Leider hat der Acryl-Edding nicht gut funktioniert (war zu durchsichtig, um die Namen drauf zu schreiben). Ich habe dann wie man sieht goldene Buchstaben als Sticker aufgetragenP.P.S. Die Silikonformen für die Lesezeichen sowie Tassels habe ich separat bestelltP.P.P.S. Die Folie und der Sticker "Schön, dass du da bist" habe ich ebenfalls hier bei Amazon bestellt ;)
