Libbey All Purpose Wine Glasses, Classic, White and Red Wine Glasses Set of 12, Stemmed Glass Drinking Cups Set for Dinner Parties, Holiday Gatherings

I needed a large set of party glasses quicky. This was a great price, Libbey is a reliable company- and they did not disappoint. I would not withold a star for this but it is worth the mention; wine affictionados and tastemakers of glassware, prefer the thinnest and often wider bowl more narrow mouthed glasses with no lip whatsoever. BUT- when you have a party and lots of new people over, that is actually the thing you DON'T necessariliy want at all. I wanted glasses that had a good real shape- for people who swirl, sniff, watch the 'legs' on a wine. But NOT so thin and delicate as to break (no injuries thank you) or cost a mint and chip (or explode like the thin ones) and NOT cost an arm and a leg, and to have mouths wide enough to rinse and clean and re-use quickly. If you want paper thin, high end wine glasses, get some for yourself and few guests. If you want to survive a number of parties with glasses that are not 'cheap looking' but are durable enough, and a nice balance to accommodate red or white- not too small and narrow, not to round and globe-y, these are good quality, don't break but aren't clumsy and 'industrial' and don't cost much for a nice large set, so you can serve a large party or don't have to wash glasses mid-event.

This is a great set if you want just a universal wine glass that will work well with most wines and look nice on your table. Nice weight, easy to clean and will fit nicely in a cabinet. They don't feel fragile. I wanted a nice matching set and I do not have room for different glasses for white and red. This is exactly what I was looking for and they looked very pretty for my guests. Recommend.

a great value, I paid $16.99 and during the 4 for 3 promotion, so almost a dollar a glass, An Incredible value! They have held up well to the occasional drink, and the bottom rack of the dishwasher, as they will not fit in the upper rack. nice stem length, round base and large enough glass to have a nice sized drink :)(not too big) The glasses look wonderful, and high quality. Amazon shipped the manufacturer's box in super thick bubble wrap, then another box of amazons and everything arrived in tact. I would buy again,at double the price. a quality American made product.

These are nice everyday wine glasses. They are a little heavier than my good ones, but work well for husband and I to use on a daily basis without worrying about breaking the better ones and, again, ending up with an incomplete set of more expensive crystal. This set gives us 12 glass ones we might break that cost only about $2.00 each. I like the deeper bowl. Less likely to spill if we decide to give it a swirl. Libbey seems to makes a nice inexpensive glass that still looks and feels nice but won't break your heart if you break one; but, I will say, I have seen some of theirs at Wal-Mart I would not wish to have, even for everyday use. The round base is 3" in diameter. The stem is about 2 1/2" tall. The whole glass from bottom to top measures just under 7 1/2" tall. The bowl is a little less than 4" deep by 3" wide across the widest part and 2 1/4" across the top (the most narrow part). It weighs approximately 7 1/8 ounces using my Salter Scale.

Awesome company for glassware

This glasses are not the fine glass type you may dream of buying for a cheap price. But, it is a nice an elegant type of glass where you will be happy to serve your wine (or water) for daily use or when friends come around and share a glass of wine with them. If you break one, you will not feel so bad after all. It's simply a wine glass. I am a frugal wannabe, so if I could get it for the equivalent of $1 each, I will give it a five star.

I mean you're paying like $20 for 12 wine glasses so, you know, it's kind of hard to complain too much. So I won't. They're pretty standard wine glasses that can hold up in the dishwasher (which is super nice). They're a bit on the wider side and you can tell that the glass (and especially the stem) are not of the highest quality, but like I said, whatevs. Really happy with the value of these glasses and now I don't have to drink wine out of a SOLO cup or my winesack (well, I still use the winesack, but only for special occasions like GoT episodes).

To be honest, I love the brand of Libbey. I have purchased Libby’s glasses for all the years that I’v been married. In this day of ‘throw away’ products it’s comforting to have a brand that I can depend on for quality, reliability, beauty and dependability. These wine glasses are simple and classic, suitable for red or white wine. These wine glasses are non fussy and will last through years of festive and happy gatherings.
