Power 73 Shock Treatment (1 lb)

The Amazon shipping box was fully intact, I carried it inside, and quickly realized the smell, took it right to the trash can, only then noticing the spilling of thousands of granules of concentrated pool shock. Further inspecting inside the shipping box, I found a single bag, perforated, spilling its contents into the shipping container. Note that a fully intact Amazon cardboard box still has gaps or openings enough for the spillage of this hazardous material. A single plastic bag prevents this issue, something that should be common practice for known hazardous materials. Rug ruined, smell atrocious, impossible to fully clean, dangerous to pets. $9 product, $250++ in damages, hours of cleaning.If you have to clean this crap up, use a shop vac, do not use liquid until every visible granule is vacuumed. Also note that any filter in a vacuum will be ruined after sucking these granules up. Route your vacuum exhaust outside, or be in a very well ventilated area. The fumes will irritate your eyes, nose, and throat. If you spill on a damp or wet surface, get it OUT of the house immediately. NIGHTMARE!

I suppose it's my mistake BUT for the price you would assume it would be a case of shock but it is ONE, one pound bag!!!! Which cost just a few dollars from the pool store. What a ripoff!

Got three dollars worth of shock for 24 dollars. One packet only. Done with worthless Amazon.
