I bought the dsx-m80 head unit and i need sterring wheel controls to work. is there any way to do this on this radio? i already have a pac unit.

This unit has the ability to add a module for steering wheel controls to work with most vehicles. PAC, Metra and other manufactures make these interface parts.

Why No FM radio reception?

I have good reception. Is your antenna hooked up ?

I see in the description 2AA batteries are needed. What are they for?

Hi Brupska, Sorry for the confusion. It doesn't come with AA batteries but rather a lithium battery for the remote control. You may check on page 24 of the link below for more information: https://docs.sony.com/release//Manual_4586258111.pdf ~Ralph

Does it keep the pairing settings once main battery disconnected ?

It does keep the pairing when power is switched off. I am unsure from a total battery disconnect as there always some power connected when the key is switched off in order to keep settings.
