Durable After A Couple Months, Some Wear To Paint, Expect HotWheels Sizing
We purchased this toy to support a new therapy target recommended by the fantastic duo of behavioral specialists that supervise our son's habilitation programs. We love them over in this house, and when they recommended to try and get him to imitate flying a plane, I figured it had to be Dusty, because our son likes that movie and sometimes you can get him to accept a toy quicker if its a character he likes, and that given how long ago the movie came out, Amazon was probably our best bet to find one.So, this toy is part metal (I'm guessing that's the die cast part) and part plastic. The wings and the wheels are plastic, the body is metal. Now, the rest of the target is bombing quicker then Skipper's old squad from the movie- I currently do/cover about 70% of our little man's hab time myself, and even with me he isn't wanting to fly this thing. He will occasionally make it drive across the table, or taxi as the case may be. But what he does love to do with it is try and chew on it. So, it is holding up well to that which is really the reason for my rating.I would like to note that the paint on the plastic parts is showing some wear, it comes off easier from the chewing, etc. then the paint on the metal. And the wheels at least are so small if he chews one off it will just pass through his stools rather then block his airways. Which brings me up to another point...this plain is small, so be expecting that when you buy it. It easily fits in the palm of my hand. So, think typical Hotwheels size meets Dusty Crop Hopper.Otherwise, it's a cute toy, and I was grateful to find it here, because as badly as this target is going with him right now, I know it would have been worse if it wasn't a character he could identify with, and it's just like everything else...we'll get there eventually.

A must for every Planes-loving child
Who would have thought Dusty planes would be so hard to find! After our puppy ate my son's Dusty plane given to him by my parents, we went on the search for a new dusty. I was so thankful to find this one. Reasonably priced, and actually has good quality to it too. This Dusty and our 3 year old frequently take excursions all over the world. One day my living room turns into the Sahara Desert. The next moment they are flying through the Amazon. Dusty even flies solo during some moments, though he is often caught in "trees" or lands in the water to "taunt" crocodiles. I'm sure I'm leaving something out as I can't fully see everything our living turns into.I'm surprised by the amount solo flights Dusty has taken, and rolled away from unscathed. It has definitely been worth every penny spent!

Matchbox Size - Collector Toy
Super Tiny - scale is that of a matchbox.Too expensive for the size. Good Quality, but strictly seems like a collector toy, did not interest my 5 year old after it arrived this small. He love small toys, but nothing moves or adjusts. We have about a 5x7 inch Dipper we bought years ago & he loves it. It has landing gear that pushes up & in & lights that flip down, this does nothing. My fault for not looking into the scale better.

Bought this as a cake topper for my grandsons 2nd birthday. I guess I didn't read the size, if it was shown, because it was smaller than I expected. Still it was very cute on the cake and he was thrilled with it. What more could a Grandma ask?

It's a fine toy and worth the $2 I paid
It's a fine toy and worth the $2 I paid. HOWEVER, the one I received is plastic, not die-cast as described. So it was not a great deal on a long lasting toy, but an okay price on a piece of plastic. I would be returning it if I had paid any more for it.

Very small, chocking hazard for small children. Cute plane though, would work well for older kids. Had no problems returning this when I realized the size upon arrival was too small for a 2 year old.

Awesome Dusty!
My son loves this plane, he screams for his "Dusty" plane! He plays with it constantly and holds onto it even when he's watching a movie or strolling in the stroller. It's worn down with the constant attention so the paint has come off in spots and the wheels are a little bent but considering it's still in playful condition after so much attention I am happy with this purchase.

Durable and cute little plane
It's fairly small, but my son loves it and flies it all around the house. Nothing has broken off yet!
