Perfect!
I ordered this the other day for my bookworm son who be turning seven in a week. I LOVE the layout. Just check the photos in my review. Most of the puzzles have a descriptive paragraph that tells a little about the subject of the crossword, AND they include a 'word bank' for each puzzle. (You'd think it would be obvious to include a word bank for a beginner, but just last month I purchased a fairly pricey money & finance workbook for ages 6+ and the crosswords had no word bank-- I guess the 6-8 year olds were just expected to know how to independently spell words from the world of money and finance.)The pages are colorful and the subject matter and presentation is interesting to this age group! When I started my son on worksheets, I thought I'd just print them from the internet for free, but it turned out to be a hassle to find quality worksheets without having to make an account everywhere. You could spend hours sucked into the Pintrest black hole and still come up empty or you could just spend $3 and be done with it!We're homeschooling (not distance learning-- we're on our own this year--homeschooling is far less frustrating and far less time-consuming than distance learning, believe it or not!) this year due to Covid and my boy and I are LOVING the School Zone workbooks to supplement his studies. I have paid five times as much for bougie-er workbooks and not gotten half the learning and enjoyment as we do from the School Zone books. One can tell they've been doing this a long time. I paid my own $3 for this book (and everything else I've ever gotten from Amazon, poor me) and my opinion is my own!

Good
My 7 year old son loves this crossword book. Not too difficult not too easy.

Very well done
This was a surprise. My son, who is 7 years old, hates crossword puzzles. He loved this book. The subject matter. The way it was illustrated. And it had just the right amount of difficulty in it for him. His vocabulary increased immensely. We homeschool and this was a great asset to our learning.

Educational
I like how this book includes reading comprehension in order to find out the answer. The description said the book had 32 pages but wow, this book is very thin. I don't know what I expected but honestly this book should've been at the dollar store. But even at the dollar store this kind of book would be thick.

We love this book!
My daughter loves this book. We just got it today, and finished half the book. I wish they had more series. I highly recommend.

great value for the $$
I love the school zone workbooks. They are so reasonably priced--how can you go wrong? My son isn't quite the recommended age for this workbook yet (he's almost 6, but a great reader and loves words) so he needs assistance with this book. But he loves it! :)

A Book From a Previous Version, Only Name Changed
I bought "Crosswords" for my daughter 2 years ago. She loved the book. So I wanted to buy another book in this series. When I saw "Crosswords Challenges", I thought it would be more challenging than the first one. But when I got the book, I found it was the same book, only even shorter, about half pages of the previous one. Very disappointed.
