It would be great if it read accurately. I am surprised it had such high reviews, but maybe all of those people did not double check it with another thermometer. I was skeptical because it read my temperature about a few degrees below normal, so I double checked with an under the tongue thermometer and my temperature read normal. If you still decide to order this product, please ensure that you double check so people using this aren't walking around with fevers and false sense of security!

Works great as long as you know how to use it. The thermometer will say “Lo” which means that the temp that it took was low and had and error while reading. It does that because it’s designed to use on people and to check for fevers. As long as you put it where you want it to read then it will read just fine. Nice that it also has a memory so if you want to see previous readings you can.

The thermometer is not working according to the Functions described by the Operating Manual. I am attaching picture of the error message. I applied the solution mentioned on the Operating Manual, i.e. 3 short beeps and red backlit for 3 seconds; but it did not work. I replaced the batteries. It did not fix the problem either. The alarm is still there and I could not read any temperature.Please let me know how to handle this issue

This is disappointing in many ways, the most obvious that it doesn't work right. It's supposed to make a beep when it's got the temperature. It doesn't. You can run it across a forehead and it shuts off half the time before you get a reading. It has a battery drawer that has a plastic lid so loose that it has to be taped to stay shut. Basically, this thing is just made for about two cents and should be taken off the market. Buyer beware!

Received it today and it isnt a no contact thermometer. Several descriptions say to just out it to the forehead but that is not true. You must run the thermometer across the forehead to get an accurate temperature. Even then I am not sure that its accurate. I kept reading 96.4 and there is no way I'm that low. I would look elsewhere especially for the price.

Definitely a good buy!!! I use a rectal thermometer on my 5 month old and then used this just to see how off it will be. It read exactly what the actual rectal thermometer read. If anything it was like a point something off. definitely accurate! Worth the money.

I has trouble right from the start with opening the battery compartment. I had to wait until visiting relatives came.The directions are very hard to understand. It tells you to push the measure button. I finally figured out they meant the scan button, not the memory/mute button., which has an M on the button. . I've never figured out the beeps Lastly the batteries keep draining. I've changed the batteries at least three times. The last time I went and bought brand new Duracell batteries. They have been in only 3 days and it is telling me L for low battery. I think I may have used it twice in those 3 days For me it is too late to return it. I lost over a week waiting for help in opening it. Buyer beware.

Has my car broken into and they took my nursing bag so I had to get new equitment, it works as expect reads fast worth it but 45 is alot for what it is
