I love it. Easy switch from the 7 Pro, I've worked with many different Androids but the switch between the 7 pro and 8 pro even changed the cached data from my Apps that i chose and background setting. This included the bluetooth and Wifi setting and theme setup. It was seemless. The Color blue color is on spot and The dual sim worked perfectly and the speed is just great. 5G with T-Mobile GSM and CDMA pre-paid for back up gave me range any where I travelled.

I purchased the IN2023, which is the "international version" since I travel (during non-Covid times). This version has all bands for att, t-mobile, and sprint except ATT bands 29/30, which are allegedly unused or lightly used. The battery is strong and the charging is fast even when not using warp (high speed) charging brick. The screen and color are beautiful. The phone feels thick and heavy however. Dual sim works, but the sim tray is funky; it is difficult to easily insert or change the sims because of the tray. The sim cards are back to back in the tray. But nothing was a deal breaker until I got to the fingerprint reader, located in-screen. This is the worst reader I have ever experienced. I'm lucky if it recognizes my fingerprints 1 out of every 5 attempts to open the phone. What makes it worse for me is that I use my fingerprint to access my password manager due to the secure long password. I am unable to access using fingerprint most of the time. I have deleted my fingerprints and started over; making sure the screen and my fingers are clean. It just doesn't work -- and when you search for this problem in the OnePlus 8 Pro, you will find dozens of other buyers complaining of the problem. I have already invested time and money in converting to this phone and buying the necessary accessories, so I am stuck with it. But I would think twice before suggesting anyone buy this phone if the fingerprint reader is important to you. If you can live with this reader problem, the phone seems to be super fast, very responsive, and has some great programmable gestures -- such as a three-finger swipe to take a screenshot. Update 11/14/20: The fingerprint reader is still terrible, but I have learned to get readings 3 out of 4 times or so. It also wants the center of my finger away from the tip, regardless of how I tried to register the end/tip of my finger. I'm adjusting to it, but it is still a terrible part of this phone. The vibration motor in this phone is very good, much better than my previous phone. I feel vibration notifications much more than before, so I give the phone credit. Update 10/3/21: Fingerprint sensor is worse; can't access fingerprint-authorized apps most of the time. Plus I find that the curved screen gets touched accidentally and performs an action that I didn't mean to do. I hope the next version (10plus) will be flat screen. I really do like the phone -- but when the sensor won't accept my fingerprints, I want to throw it.

Promised duel sim support still doesn't have it. The phone overheats in the Florida sun, not even sitting out, I mean just outdoors after a few minutes, a first. The worst however is the non-existent support. Here is a suggestion, before you try to buy anything from them, give their support number a call and see where that gets you. After than fails, send them an email asking for support and see how many days it takes for them to get back. Forget trying to return a bad product to them, they will just ignore you. The phone is buggy, missing promised features, way overpriced for the lack of these features, unpolished and unsupported. Never again.

It gets hot to quickly when using it.

Partiamo dallo schermo, uno dei punti di forza di OnePlus 8 Pro. Di base si tratta di un pannello Fluid AMOLED che misura ben 6,78 pollici di diagonale con una risoluzione Quad HD+ (3168 x 1440 pixel) e un rapporto di forma 19,8:9. Fin qui nulla di cui sorprendersi, a parte le dimensioni un pelo generose. Ma fra le caratteristiche a corredo di tale display c’è da evidenziare, oltre alla leggera curvatura dei bordi laterali, il tempo di risposta del touchscreen a 240 Hz, il supporto all’HDR10, i 1.300 nits di luminosità massima, la capacità di filtrare il 40% della luce blu e, ovviamente, la frequenza d’aggiornamento a 120 Hz, anche con la risoluzione impostata a 2K. DisplayMate ha valutato tale schermo A+ con 13 record di qualità superati. Schermo a parte, OnePlus 8 Pro è tanta roba anche relativamente ad altre componenti, chiaro. A bordo c’è finatti il principe dei chipset di Qualcomm del 2020: Snapdragon 865, una Mobile Platform realizzata con processo produttivo a 7 nanometri che vanta una CPU octa core a 2,84 GHz di clock massimo e una GPU Adreno 650. Al suo fianco 8 o 12 GB di RAM LPDDR5 e 128 o 256 GB di memoria interna UFS 3.1, non espandibile. Ma veniamo al comparto fotografico di OnePlus 8 Pro, ampiamente rivisitato rispetto al suo egregio predecessore. Dietro troneggia una fotocamera principale da 48 megapixel con sensore Sony IMX689 da 1 / 1,4″ con apertura f/1.68, con pixel da 1.12 µm, OIS e pixel binning a 12 megapixel. Al suo fianco, trova posto un terzetto di fotocamere con una grandangolare da 48 megapixel con sensore Sony IMX586, 120° di campo di visione e modalità macro (3 cm), un teleobiettivo da 8 megapixel con zoom ottico 3x (digitale fino a 30x), con OIS e apertura f/2.4. Completa il quadro un sensore da 5 megapixel che OnePlus chiama Color Filter Camera, per applicare dei filtri hardware di colore per effetti artistici. Davanti, nel foro, c’è posto infine per una fotocamera frontale da 16 megapixel con sensore Sony IMX471 con apertura f/2.4, messa a fuoco fissa ed EIS. Lato sensori e connettività, non c’è spazio per i compromessi. OnePlus 8 Pro, oltre a supportare le reti 5G (SA/NSA), dispone di Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS a doppia frequenza, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, A-GPS, Dolby Atmos, USB di tipo C, un lettore di impronte digitali annegato nel display, un doppio speaker stereo, 3 microfoni, eccetera. La batteria, infine, tocca quota 4.510 mAh ed è compatibile con la ricarica rapida a 30 watt, sia cablata che wireless con una basetta dedicata. Design di OnePlus 8 Pro OnePlus 8 Pro, rispetto al modello che sostituisce, guadagna davanti un foro nel display, dietro qualche elemento in più nei pressi del modulo fotocamere, decisamente più generoso per dimensioni. Capite bene che, in quanto a design, è uno smartphone che non rivoluziona ma conserva e aggiorna qua e là canoni estetici solidi e stabili fin da due generazioni. Dietro OnePlus 8 Pro si presenta con una back cover realizzata con vetro antiriflesso di quinta generazione con una texture particolare che OnePlus chiama Glossy e Matte Frosted per una scocca che, udite udite, è certificata IP68: resiste cioè all’acqua e alla polvere. Modellata come al solito per migliorare la presa con una leggera curvatura ai lati, lascia ampio margine alle fotocamere. Si esalta il generoso modulo che contiene tre dei quattro sensori, modulo arrotondato che si sviluppa in verticale piazzato proprio lì nel mezzo. Alla sua sinistra c’è spazio per altri elementi più minuti, fra cui il teleobiettivo e il flash LED, più in basso il classico marchio di fabbrica. Davanti spicca lo schermo, curvo ed esagerato per dimensioni, ma soprattutto per ottimizzazione, grazie a bordi davvero ridotti all’osso: basti pensare che la cornice superiore misura appena 2,25 mm, quella inferiore 3, e ai lati solo 1,24. Stessa storia per il foro, da appena 4 mm. È evidente perciò come OnePlus abbia puntato forte su dettagli del genere utili sia per una resa estetica gradevole e moderna, sia per non andare a gravare eccessivamente sugli ingombri di un dispositivo che, per ovvie ragioni, non può essere considerato un tascabile a prescindere. Queste le dimensioni di OnePlus 8 Pro: 165,3 mm di altezza, 74,4 mm di larghezza e 8,5 mm di spessore per un peso di 190 grammi. Software e funzioni di OnePlus 8 Pro Mettetevi comodi, che anche qui ce ne sono di cose da raccontare. Partiamo dalla versione del robottino verde con cui si presenta OnePlus 8 Pro: ovviamente Android 10 ritoccata in stile OxygenOS 10. Parliamo dell’interfaccia grafica proprietaria di casa OnePlus, una personalizzazione molto simile alla versione nativa di Android, che punta tutto sulla fluidità e sulla velocità con animazioni scattanti e la solita esperienza d’uso, per così dire, burrosa. Dettagli, questi, percepibili a maggior ragione ora che il display supporta una frequenza d’aggiornamento massima a 120 Hz, gestibile con in una modalità dinamica capace cioè di gestire il refresh rate a seconda delle situazioni: pensiamo ad esempio al feed di Facebook, ai giochi o alla navigazione su internet dove un refresh rate impostato a 120 Hz è senza dubbio apprezzabile, al contrario di usi meno dinamici come maneggiare il software fotografico o guardare contenuti contenuti come delle foto, dove viceversa, il software attiva automaticamente la modalità a 60 Hz. Fra le novità della nuova versione della OxygenOS introdotta su OnePlus 8 Pro c’è il supporto nativo di Amazon Alexa e la Dark Theme 2.0, che porta con sé nuove ottimizzazioni e va a ritoccare un maggior numero di app. Più che apprezzabili anche i 100 GB gratis di Google One, l’abbonamento di casa Big G per archiviare foto, video, documenti e altro su Google Drive, Gmail e Google Foto. Non manca nemmeno Google Stadia, in arrivo prossimamente ma presentato in fase di lancio. Oltre a questo, fra le chicche di OnePlus 8 Pro è necessario citare il pacchetto di funzioni dedicato all’esperienza multimediale. In questo caso urge sottolineare la presenza dei due speaker Stereo con Dolby Atmos, o l’HDR Boost per ottimizzare ogni frame, per bianchi più luminosi e per una resa cromatica più naturale. Completa il quadro la tecnologia MEMC che tramite degli algoritmi stima e compensa il movimento dei filmati, potendo trasformare i video fino a 120 fps. Il risultato? Una visione ottimale dei filmati più dinamici, ad esempio nei video d’azione o sportivi, meno scattosi e perciò più godibili; una modalità fruibile su Netflix e su Amazon Prime Video. Migliorato anche il feedback aptico con un motore tutto nuovo, che già con OnePlus 7 Pro era a livelli decisamente notevoli, lo sblocco col volto, visto che la fotocamera non deve più uscire fisicamente dalla scocca, e la registrazione dei video. Al riguardo c’è da segnalare la possibilità di sfruttare delle migliorie che, grazie all’hardware citato, consentono di filmare anche in condizioni di scarsa luminosità ottenendo dei buoni risultati, grazie all’HDR, ma anche dal punto di vista dell’audio, con i tre microfoni piazzati in alto e in basso, e accanto alle fotocamere, che lavorano in sinergia per ottenere un audio il più possibile tridimensionale. Non manca ovviamente la possibilità di registrare video in 4K fino a 60 fps, sfruttare il super slow motion in 720p a 480 fps, il 3-HDR, la stabilizzazione ibrida (OIS+EIS), il doppio ISO nativo, e di registrare in Full HD con la fotocamera frontale. Da segnalare anche la presenza di alcune funzioni OZO Audio, derivate da una partnership con Nokia: audio 3D, zoom audio e una sorta di funzione che scherma il vento nelle registrazioni, per catturare un suono realistico nella registrazione video. Ultima, ma non per importanza, l’attenzione che OnePlus 8 Pro riserva alla ricarica. La Warp Charge 30T cablata funziona a 30 watt (5 volt e 6 ampere) e garantisce uno 0-50% in 23 minuti; medesima potenza disponibile anche per la ricarica wireless che, grazie a una basetta di ricarica proprietaria, assicura uno 0-50% un pelo più lento: mezz’ora. Presente, inoltre, anche la ricarica wireless inversa e delle ottimizzazioni particolari legate all’intelligenza artificiale che consentono di adattare la ricarica alle abitudini dell’utente con lo scopo di salvaguardare la vita della batteria.

Dit toestel voldoet volledig aan al mijn wensen. Ik was eerst nog wat huiverig voor de grote, maar dit went snel en past ook nog gewoon in mijn broekzak. De camera is ronduit goed en het toestel is super snel. De afwerking is super netjes. Beeldscherm is fantastisch met de 120hz verversingssnelheid. Ook het snelladen is heel fijn. Niet twijfelen!

Still in 2023 it packs the necessary punch in every aspect. It is a so well built phone and it never fails. Battery still holds up and it's still updated.

Me sorprendió mucho primero la calidad del celular , la caja y todo se ve que estás comprando algo de primera ! Pero al prenderlo me sorprendió muchísimo la velocidad el celular, la nitidez de la pantalla y sobre todo el sonido del celular !!!! Pareciera que tienes una bocina es abismal la diferencia con otros celulares , me conecto con AT&T mexico sin ningún problema y el cargador funciona perfectamente . A y aparte llegó mucho antes !! Lo pedi en enero 23 algo asi y decía que llegaba febrero finales o en marzo pero me llego en una semana !!! Y tardo poquito más por la aduana pero no tuve problemas ni cargos extras Además el color del aparato está súper padre , las fotos no le hacen justicia en absoluto Anímense es un mega Smartphone
