Radioddity G90-H1 Bracket Holder Quiet Cooling Fan 2-in-1 for Xiegu G90

Nice stand for the G90 well built and has rubber feet and rubber where the metal meets the radio so you don't worry about beating up your rig. Fan is 2 speed not to noisy. They should have put an off on switch so I did. The functionality is nice and the legs fold down when needed. Pretty good price on this very nice stand.

I just recently got this along with the G-90 transceiver. I was impressed by the sturdy design and the quality manufacturing physically. The power input connector is on the side, which means you can't put anything else very close to it -- I'd rather see it on the back. Also, there is no switch for the fan -- it runs as long as power is applied. A nice feature is that you can supply input power to the bracket, and there is a short PowerPoled wire in back that plugs into the G-90 -- so you dont have to run two power cables from the DC source. Oh, and it doesn't 'bolt' onto the G-90; there are some clever, hinged brackets (one on each side) that go over the top and latch together!

I purchased this cooling fan for my G-90 and it was very easy to install, it is worth the price if your radio gets hot when being used. They do warm up. The noise level is too high when you are indoors and sometimes out doing POTA. The build quality is outstanding and it really does work. It has legs to raise the front of the radio to a good viewing angle. Mine was loud so I replaced the fan with a Noctua NF-A9x14 pwm Premium Quiet Fan that fit perfectly into the case. Now it is quiet and I am very satisfied. Buy one and try one it is worth the price. It will cool your G-90.

Outstanding equipment does a perfect job getting the unit up off the table and cools the unit well. I have read where people say it is too loud. I have not experienced that with my unit. I will say that unless you are going to use it for pota you may not need the fan. I have not found my G-90 to ever get hot. If it is outside in the sun and running hard I could see the need. I’m really happy with the purchase.

I love my G90. Having moved into an apt recently, most of my operation is now mobile. Laying the transceiver on the Picnic table or some box created a viewing problem and cooling problem. I made due with some stuff I had rigged up but decided to purchase something that was commercially made for the job. As soon as I received it, I put it together with the radio and it works great. I am not concerned about any cooling issues going forward. The mounting of the two units is very sturdy and with a slight modification to my portable case I’m off to any park or dash board of my car.

This comes with the updated Anderson power pole connections to the radio. It also has both connectors on the fan so you can use the older power cord or Anderson power poles. Works great and a great addition to the radio. They should come with this set up

The device is keeping my radio cool and has features to reduce power consumption. The Fan goes off during transmit but will come back on during rx or during transmit if the unit starts to warm. I like the swing out feet to tilt the unit up, which is required so that the fan intake is not covered. The manual, however, did not mention the swing out feet and I Initially I thought they feet were missing, not realizing they swang out and came retracted. Also my unit is apparently an updated model as it has a base cover so the fan and circuit board are not exposed as shown in the product description. That is an improvement. The power connection pig tail in the rear has a smaller wire gauge than I prefer. However it is very short and the voltage during transmit is staying above 12V. Over all happy after one day of use.

Variable fan speed to cool G 90 transceiver is useless. I hear that others bought it, had the same problem. Even when the G 90 is just turned on and cold the fan stays on high speed; that should only happen when the unit is hot. I emailed Radioddity about the problem and they told me to try different things to see if I could get it working. Tried and tried but the fan just kept on going at high speed. Finally Radioddity sent me another one and I offered to send them the non-working one but they told me just keep it. Got the new one today with no extra cost. Will see how it works later. Happy with their response.

Its a pity the G90 didn't come with this as standard rather as an option. During the summer leaving the G90 lying flat on a surface and ragchewing on 40m is likely not good for the components as the chassis gets very hot running at the full 20w. So far it is a definitive improvement. I really like the radio though if you add up the options including 100w amplifier you may as well have purchased an Icom 7300. For field use its ideal. As base station its debatable. Buying through Amazon from Oz was definitely the only economical option.

Arrived 2 days earlier than scheduled. Always a winner with that! A well machined piece of equipment. I've seen a YouTube video from a fella that took temperature probe measurements of the G90 with and without this fan unit and it proved a noticeable difference of about 25 to 30 degrees of cooling so I know it works. The noise from the fan is entirely non intrusive. Some time ago, the power input of the G90 was changed to power poles and there were a lot of these fans with the wrong power connectors so I was all geared up for a rewiring plug scenario.....however, this was already changed to power poles so no issues there. Everything fits well and is held securely at the back by the grounding screw and at the front, by the supplied strapage. Very useful and essential bit of kit.
