Do you apply it where the pump is? Or do you apply it anywhere in the running water?

I use a measure and pour it into the lead tank which contains 44 gallons. I switch the pump on and it starts to work immediately. I do not have the fountain on all the time and I just occasionally top up water because fo evaporation and an occasional small top up of the addictive. There is a slight blue hue to the water. Living in an area with nitrates in the taps water, this keeps the lead water feature clear of green algae.
