Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Understanding the Hyperbaric Chamber
B**R
Clear, Concise and Educational
I grabbed this one because I am always looking for and reading about alternative medicines and therapies. While this is one I may or may not use in the future, I really appreciated all the information that is in the book, as well as the fact that it is written in a way that anyone can understand. This book takes you through the history and the science of HBO, then moves to what one can expect during the treatment and afterwards. The author is honest about risks and benefit, and answers most questions about this treatment choice along the way.I see this book as a great resource for anyone looking into this or other alternative therapies, as well as those who are preparing to go through this type of treatment. I do wish that there were more photos and diagrams as part of the process, but I do understand that that's the nature of a kindle book on occasion. Other than that I think this is an excellent, excellent resource.

Hey
There a lot of information is this book. I was hoping it would talk about creating an oxygen enriched environment to kill bad bacteria.

Increased air pressure makes for good health.
This book was very informative. The first few chapters were mostly about the history of hyperbaric chambers and I found no real use for them, but the rest of the book was extremely helpful in its instructions on how to use one and I really appreciate the author for his guidance on this issue.

written by a bot…
…I hope. It’s one redeeming quality is its length. I was going to say “brevity,” but that might be taken as a compliment.

Good overview
Good, quick overview of Hbot . Lists the uses, cautions and expectations as well as contraindications. Not a sales gimmick

This is nothing more than disinformation. The authors name and date of publication is not given on this book so i can't even say if it is relevant to the material being discussed at the time that it was written. There is a list of diseases given that are not yet proven to be responsive to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) near the end of this very short book (more like a pamphlet really), all of them actually ARE responsive to this therapy - especially MS. There are no page numbers in the book, so i can't even tell you a page number, but there are so few anyway that i don't suppose it matters. If someone set out to write a book that would discourage anyone who read it from ever thinking of trying it, then this would be that book. Reading that it was someone called Brad Durant who wrote it, i can only assume that he is a mason who is higher then 33rd degree. Save your money and buy a book that has some information that is relevant to the subject matter.

Very disappointing
This was a very disappointing purchase. It is incredibly basic and is not directed to anyone with a modicum of medical knowledge. Prior to purchase it was impossible to tell the level of detail or likely appropriate audience. The only saving grace was that it cost £1.84If you're a physician and want to find out more about HBOT then look elsewhere.

The only good thing about this book is that it is very cheap. It took me 15 minutes to read from start to finish. It contains no detail whatsoever. Total waste of time, you're better off looking it up on Wikipedia.
