I purchased a 20 cm x 15 cm rectangle house sign in May 2026. I am giving the item a 4 star review because: 1. The sign looks and feels great. The number is large, printed clearly, can be seen from a distance. This is all great. 2. I am holding back one star because the installation instructions could be better. The item arrived with two pairs of wall plugs and screws. However, there was no instruction as to what drill size (diameter) to use, or what depth to drill to. I successfully installed the sign after progressively widening and deepening a pair of holes. Ideally the item would arrive with a drill guide (a piece of paper that has cutouts in the same place as the actual slate). This would make it easier to mark the location of the holes to be drilled on the wall. Additionally, it would be useful if the item came with a warning against overtightening the screws. As I was tightening one of the screws, I realised that a crack in the slate appeared due to the screw pressuring the slate. This was a surprise, as I had been gentle and thought the screw still had quite a bit of travel before it reached its maximum depth. I should have been more careful of course, but it was surprising how easy it was to create a crack in the slate. Thankfully, the crack, while visible when looking closely at the sign, is not large enough for a whole chunk of the slate to fall off. In short: A very good product. Installation instructions could be better. Install gently.
