Raggedy Ann In The Snow White Castle Hardcover – January 1, 1946

Raggedy Ann and Andy and the dolls have great adventures together in these books. This one hasa particularly compelling plot, with lots of adventure and fun. And we meet new friends, too.

I remember Raggedy Ann and Andy from the time I was just big enough to be fascinated by the bright pictures. Frankly, this review is more about nostalgia than anything else. I still love the soft, simple, drawings. Gruelles stories are aimed at the under 7 year olds; but they do appeal to that age group. Simply put, I like the art work. I remember, as a very young child, liking the stories too. If you are buying out of nostalgia or for the very young reader, I highly recommend Gruelles work.

It's a Raggedy story so it is imaginative, fun, and carries a theme of good-natured respect for others. My warning here is, ask if the copy you are ordering has the last pages. My copy stopped mid-sentence on page 80—it was bound that way. Perhaps it was a one-off problem, or perhaps the whole edition is defective.
