A fellow customer said his board arrived "with an oil like substance inside and leaking out of the wrapped board." That is DEFINITELY not normal--return it for another.I bought one of these at Bad Breath and Beyond a couple years ago. I like it so much I went back for another--no luck. This is exactly the same as the one I bought. When I make a stir fry, I chop LOTS of veggies and I like PLENTY of elbow room. Now I prepare the "really need to be cooked" veggies on one board, and the "pop in at the last minute" veggies on another. I slide them from the board right into the stir fry pan. Awesome! It's light for its size and plenty strong. Avoid the thick ones--too heavy. I LIKE the fact that it does not have one of those weird groves around the edges. My first one has never developed any crack or separation after probably 5 years. I DO put butcher block oil-wax on it from time to time. Do not use the excuse that you don't have space. FIND space for one or two of these treasures. Okay, they are not as gorgeous (or pricey) as walnut cutting boards, but they are 100% satisfactory for what they are intended for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent board; be sure to oil/wax before use as all boards need *by W***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2023* Excellent boards.
