This is a good price for an old school Ointment. Thats known to work!
This is old school. My husband's mother used it when he was a teenager 40 years ago, and she swears by it. I've been using another type of salve that has been working, but it's not a 100%. This is for cysts underneath the skin or boils underneath the skin. Im putting it on my husband's back. so I will update you after I put this on and let you know how it works. But it is for removing splinters, slivers, cysts boils, poison ivy, nettles. Mosquito bites, spider bites instincts from bees. This is known to help it is black, so it will stain your clothes. It looks like tar. You do have to put a gauze bandage over top of it. You can order them the same time you order this. If you don't have any. It can treat minor infections such as ingrown toenail. It brings soothing relief. You apply it to minor skin irritations. However deep wounds or serious Burns or other conditions, you should talk to your doctor before using it. Make sure you clean the affected area applied on a gauze Bandage, once or twice a day. Repeat, as necessary. Do not rub or massage the affected area. Just put this on there if you have any questions. There's a phone number, an email on the side. This is distributed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA, however, it is made in China.

Work VERY WELL and helped remove ingrown hair.
I had an issue with my inner thigh after trimming hair in that area. Itโs a high-friction zone from exercising, so a large, easily irritated bump formed from an ingrown hair. This ichthammol ointment helped so much โ it soothed the irritation and drew out/removed the ingrown hair. Really glad I tried it!

Still the real deal, just like my folks used to use
My Mom put this on every cut and splinter I got as a kid, and finding it again felt like running into an old friend. There's something reassuring about a product that hasn't changed much while everything else has. I do a lot of gardening and odd jobs around the house, so this tube gets regular use. Between splinters and the occasional cut, it earns its keep. The smell isn't exactly what I remember, but it still doesn't take much to feel it working. A small dab, cover it up, and let it do its thing overnight. The tube is fair sized and goes a long way since you only need a thin layer. It's become part of my regular first-aid stock, right next to the bandages. I'm not a doctor and this review isn't medical advice. I'm just a longtime user who's glad this stuff is still made. Bottom line: A trusted classic that still performs. If you grew up with drawing salve in the house, this will feel like coming home. ~Thomas Tried and True

A Handy Ointment to Keep Around
Having a multipurpose ointment like this on hand is convenient, especially when dealing with minor skin concerns that need soothing care. The 20% ichthammol formula gives it a strong, substantial feel, and the small 1-ounce size is easy to keep in a medicine cabinet or take along when traveling. I also like that it has several potential uses, including situations involving splinters, insect stings, boils, acne, and irritated skin. The texture makes it easy to apply a small amount where needed without using much product at once. The tube size is practical for occasional use, and the ointment feels like a useful addition to a basic home-care collection. Overall, Iโm very pleased with it.

Ok product.
Works well to numb the irritation. In my case bought to try to work a splinter out. Did not help with that. Applications did make it more tolerable till I could get it with tweezers. Smells a bit. Not horrible, just very different.

Worked on a Gangliion cyst.
This stuff works. I developed a ganglion cyst on the top of my left foot. It could have been while walking on a boardwalk where I almost tripped but caught myself. My foot was jarred. The next day I walked barefoot on the beach on Mobile Bay and noticed my foot was very sore. When I got home I saw a ganglion cyst on the top of my foot. I had one surgically removed more than 10 years ago in the same place. I had a walking shoe for about 6 weeks afterwards. I wanted to avoid the summer in a walking shoe and looked for alternatives. I have a hot tub. This is what I did. I would get in the hot tub for about 15 minutes at about 102 degrees and let the jets run over the spot. Not too close, just enough to stimulate blood flow. Then I had a Hooga red and a Hooga green therapy light. The red one works on deeper tissues than the the green. I did not know if these would help or not but I owned them so why not try. I would hold the bulbs about 6 to 12 inches above the spot for about 10 minutes. I would do one in the morning and the other in the evening after getting out of the hot tub and taking a shower. Then I used this ointment appiled with a q-tip, put a cotton round on top and wrap in coband. I would put a sock on to keep in place overnight and removed it in the morning. The ointment was delivered May 25th. This is now May 31 and you really can not see the cyst unless you know where to look. I am going to continue using the lights and maybe the ointment for a few days but will probably quit soon unless the cyst returns. There are 3 variables here, heat, red and green light therapy and the ointment. The Hooga bulbs cost about $40 a piece. I got used like new for less. This ointment is not that expensive so if you consider the cost of seeing a doctor and the inconvenience it was all worth it. By the way, I am the wife of the person named on the account. Hope it works for someone. Very few reviews actually identify ganglion cysts. Look it up. Some people have had these cysts for years. No way of determining if the lights would work alone or the ointment alone. Total cost is not that much. I am pleased with the results. Sorry, I did not take any photos. Just my testimonial.
