ROCKI PLAY -- WiFi Plug-in for Streaming Music to Speakers (Hot Chili Peppers Red)

I'm a very happy camper!I had two goals when I purchased my Rocki: 1) stream music from my Mac Mini located in my home office to our older stereo located in the living room and 2) stream music/audiobooks to my ears or portable speakers when I'm out tending the garden. Bluetooth simply would not work due the distances involved but with two wireless access points in the house I've got wi-fi to spare which means I can stream music to almost every corner of the yard!Out of the box, this device just worked as expected; though, in the spirit of full disclosure, I am an IT Engineer in our local school district so I may have a slightly different perspective than others when it comes to gauging the ease of implementing technology and, to be sure, my implementation thus far has been primarily Apple-centric. However, I have been successful streaming music using iTunes and "airplay" on my Windows 8 computer as well as on my Mac Mini.In closing I'll share I've had enough of a positive experience with my Rocki Play device that I bought a second unit to give as a gift which, to me at least, is the ultimate stamp of approval!

I am very disappointed with this product. Very briefly I should say that this product does not deliver what the seller says it does. My main objective in purchasing this product (I ordered two of them) was to stream the "same" music using the three stereo systems that I have around my house, two of them are the old ones without the capability of streaming musing Trying to accomplish this with these two Rockie's" was impossible. I was able to use each of them individually but the main problem is that I was not able to have them synchronized (each of them was streaming different parts of the same song)I had to spend many hours in order to understand the product (almost no information came with the product), I had to update the firmware (why should I do this? they should have already done it for me!), understand their technical lingo used in their web page. All this with a laptop (to change the settings) and the tablet (where the music resides)I believe that if I am ever able synchronizing both Rockies, the regular daily use would require spending a lot of time setting each of them, and may be the use of a laptop too. I don't want that!!! I want something that I turn on and starts doing what it is suppose to be doing!In brief, it was a very frustrating experience that cost me 103$ (with shipping cost), a lot of time and a lot of work. You need to be an engineer in order to understand everything that needs to be done.When I bought this product, I expected something similar to Chromecast that took me only 5 minutes to set it up and start "enjoying" the product right away. As of today, I want to say that Rocki does not do that, it is a very immature product that still needs a lot of work and development.Bottom line, both Rocki's will be return to Amazon.

I love this device... It worked exactly as promised on their brochures.

Not ready for market. Inadequate instructions and online help is completely missing. Returned item and it should not be offered for sale.

Rocki would not stay connected to my WiFi, then became invisible to the system. Product is not ready for prime time. I spent many hours messing with the two Rockis I bought with no success. They just keep disappearing from my wifi network. I tried all the suggestions from friends and experts and posted on the Rocki forums. I cannot recommend this product at all. Great idea, but implementation is more like a beta version. I'm guessing the next version will address the connectivity issues that I and many others have experience with Rocki. I wish them the best, it's a brilliant idea, but it's not stable enough to be marketed yet.
