Excellent, life-changing devotional!
I have just finished Chris Tiegreen's "The One Year Hearing His Voice Devotional" and, although I rarely write reviews, I realized that it would be unjust not to write one for this book. I have recommended the book to so many people over the course of this year. Tiegreen has written a book that is deceptively simple: a page-a-day interaction with a tiny portion of Scripture and a short prayer. But each day brings the reader back, again and again, to the biblical truth that God speaks to His people. You'll be left with the inescapable conclusion that God desires to speak to you - and with the realization that hearing His voice is a choice you have to make daily.

Well written, really good insightful messages of hope and faith all in the context of the the reader wanting to draw closer to God & hear His voice. Not a soft, fluffy Jesus Calling writings. More a daily voice, male perspective.

Relevant and Inspired
This devotional by Chris Tiegreen is truly inspired. I have used it for 3 years now, and it is always fresh and speaks to where I am in my walk. I recommend it to everyone I know. It was recommended to me by a friend, and I believe God has used it to draw me closer to Him. This is the 4th one I have purchased as a gift. Each day starts with a verse and ends with a prayer. Cannot say enough good things about it.

A very good devotional
I started this book a week ago, on 1st January. I am sure this is a devotional I will read year upon year. I really like the author's writing style, and each day provides a scripture and an insightful, thought provoking devotion. It is clear the author has sought God for Himself, and each day so far has me mediating on the scripture, and praying over the subject. What a gem!

This devotional is thoughtful and helpful in the process of learning to listen. The scripture verses given are short for practical reasons, but I always read around these to check the context and this adds even more to my understanding.
