Lovely film
Excellent, lovely film. Slow paced, but had is both in tears by the end.

Complex and simple at the same time, slow paced like childhoods should be.
This is beautifully poigniant film, Frida's mum has died and she goes to live with her Aunt and Uncle in the country who have a three year old of their own. Frida is almost in shock, but we witness a deep troubling in her through her rebellious actions. Much of the film is of the children playing, it is honest and "un-acted" and this almost seems the case for the adult cast too. It's a marvelous debut for a first time film-maker and whole heartedly recommended.

Understated Catalan family drama
Fantastic movie about a young girl that gets adopted into her uncle's family after the death of her mother. Filmed from a child's perspective, all very natural and believable. Great actors who handle the poignant theme brilliantly. Can't wait to see Carla Simón's next movie.
