ArtandCraft - Satchel, Leather Laptop Messenger bag, Briefcase, Crossover 16 inch Shoulder Bag

I travel a lot for work and am constantly meeting with clients throughout the day. Therefore, I was looking for an upgrade in a bag that looked professional, but was still stylish and comfortable. This Leather Messenger bag met my expectations.The bag arrived nicely packaged and as soon as I opened it, I was able to smell the nice leather that comprises this bag. The shoulder strap is removable for those that prefer to just carry the bag by the handle, but long enough to sling over your shoulder or cross your body. The inside of the bag features to main slots that I was able to comfortably fit my 15" Macbook Pro and the 2nd slot an iPad Mini and Samsung Galaxy Tab A. In the 3rd slot, I have a bag that stores all my connectors, usb and computer adapters along with my powercord and plugs. There is a 4th inside slot/pocket that zippers that I stored a lot of items that may be loose that I want to contain. On the back side of the bag is another zipper container that I was able to put a lot of the items that I need really quickly (i.e. iPhone charger, etc..). The front part of the bag contains 2 small uncovered pockets, as well. The whole bag has a cover that buckles in to 2 straps. The bag is relatively lightweight, but you can tell made with decent leather.I've already been traveling with it for a couple of months and it's endured the riguorus abuse from being shoved under the seat in an airplane (which it fits nicely), carried in and out of humid conditions (i.e. Houston) and in out of rental cars and clients.All in all, a wonderful bag that I'm glad I chose. The color is great and I haven't noticed and issues with scratches or water stains. (I haven't tried pouring water or taken a knife to the bag though)Would recommend this bag for someone to update their laptop / business bag for a little more style, but still want the comfort and convenience they need.

This bag is exactly what you think it will be - a cheap leather bag that does the job. There were definitely a few flaws right out of the box, but I paid $60 so I didn't expect a masterpiece. I have gotten lots of compliments at the office from people who noticed it the very first day I carried it to work. The color is as advertised and it fits my 15 inch laptop with room for the charger, a notebook and a small umbrella! If you're looking for a cheap bag, this one is perfect - but I probably wouldn't give it as a gift. The odor that other people mention is noticeable but not toxic or overwhelming in my opinion.

I like the bag, but I have a few issues with it. The leather on the handle is coming un-stitched. The tie down straps are very thin and flimsy. The leather 'stain' is inconsistent, which looks pretty good, like a weathered look; but in one spot it looks almost like a handprint messed it up when it was setting. Otherwise the bag is great for what I needed and has a great look to it. I use it to carry around a kindle, a weekly planner and an epi-pen. all of that fits well along with a large notepad and some extra pens.

Three stars "It's Okay" is my first impression. For the price, it's not bad. Several others have commented about the odor. It does have a strong odor out of the package. It smells like... <anxiety pause> Leather!!!. Apparently others commenting about this have never smelled leather before. After 2 days of use, the only way I can smell it now if put my nose on it and sniff. The color is a little lighter than the photo shows. A natural product will have variations. This is again a trait of leather. It does appear well constructed. The leather is much thinner hide than I expected. While this does keep the weight down, it also allows the lighter underside to peek out along the edges of the sewed edges. It's too soon to really comment on quality. I'll provide an update after some use.

leather is very good quality. Has that genuine new leather smell. the inside has a nice dark green fabric. the buckles are not the highest quality but for the price this leather bag is perfect for what i needed and i get compliments on it every time i'm out or traveling with it. the only caution i offer with this is in the rear inner compartment that is right up against the back of the bag, be careful not to put anything pointy or hard edged against this wall (like a laptop cooling fan that has the 4 rubber mounts for hard surfaces on it) as the leather will wear quickly on the outside. i'm very happy with this bag. been using it for about 7 months now. id recommend this to anyone.

Perfect for my 15.6" Acer laptop. Quality is average +, but great for the cost. As with most leather products, it seems to be getting better looking with age and use. I agree with others that the buckles could be annoying for someone who is in and out all day, but my use is transport and protect and it does both very well. As for the odor, as others have said, It's tanned leather, it will have an not unpleasant odor for a while. If you don't want odor, get nylon.

Amazing bag, does everything needing it to do and held up. Here writing the review because it was purchased in 2016 and the strap broke today. With as much use I got out of it, would buy again.

This is a nice bag...it looks kind of old and rustic, which is what I was looking for. When it arrived, as others have mentioned, the first thing I noticed was the smell. I had to let it air outside for a few days and it still had a amount of scent left. The leather feels nice. I used some leather conditioner on it and made it look even better. It's not the biggest bag in the world. There's not too much space and it doesn't give to allow for more items to squeeze in. I use for a Macbook air and it fits perfectly. A book, some magazines, or notebooks can fit with it, but not much else. Overall, the bag is nice and looks good! Once the smell goes away...it's a great daily use bag.
