Not the easiest to setup, But works like a charm!
Title says it all. It works exactly as advertised and after figuring out the series of button presses to get things setup, it is headache free! Sunset/ sunrise feature was on by default and I don’t mind it at all. Worked with standard connector on our tank lid lights as well.

Works!
At first I bought a cheap timer that I had to return twice because neither one worked. After setting up this timer I thought this one was the same crappy quality because I set the timer to turn on at 830 am however the time was about 845. I had hoped it would turn on automatically and it didn't. So the first day I was disappointed but it was a Friday so I didn't get to see if it worked until I got back to work the following Monday. I came in a little late and by the time I got in it was already on. Win! The next day I got in a little before 830 and the light was off but at the scheduled time I got to see that even though I hadn't set the timer to gradually turn on (my fish gets scared when the light suddenly turns on) it automatically did a gradual brightening! I've been around in the afternoon when the light is scheduled to turn off but I haven't been attentive enough to see if it dims before turning off, but it may.The directions look like I could probably do a longer morning/evening schedule if I wanted to but what automatically happens is good enough for me (approx 3-5 min gradual brightening). The directions are actually pretty easy to read and fairly comprehensive-see attached photo. One thing I don't really like though is that you have to press down pretty hard on the buttons to have them respond and that in turn puts pressure on the screen and distorts the crystal underneath screen. After setting it up I didn't want to mess with it again in case I ended up breaking it.Over I definitely recommend this product.

Not great
Waste of time and money. It does not hold time and programming if not continuously connected to power.

Ear piercing high pitch sound when light ramps up and down.
Auto light ramp up and ramp down is nice but each time the light is ramping up or down the timer makes an annoying HIGH pitch ear piercing sound like how a dog whistle would affect a dogs ears. Can’t really seem to figure out why it does that but it’s pretty annoying. Overall the timer works great

Fire danger. Approach with caution
I have two 100w aquarium lights. I bought two controllers one was fine but after 10min this one started to melt down amd smoke. Make sure you stick around for a while after you plug this in.To make sure everything is working correctly.

Difficult to set up
Wished the instructions were easier to follow. Typical loss in translation situation. Dimmer function was easy enough. Setting up timers was a little difficult.
