Cleans brilliantly, easy assembly and clean up.
I bought this because we have ceramic floor (looks like wooden planking) throughout our ground floor; and we have 2 small puppies who in the winter have been traipsing their tiny but muddy feet through the house each time they go outside (they aren’t big on using the doormat). Got fed up with mopping and scrubbing, so thought would give this a try as we already had a Bissell carpet cleaner. Short review: works really well. Uses a relatively small quantity of water (about 2.5 litres) to do the entire ground floor (4 rooms, long corridor and 3 area rugs), which necessitates emptying the ‘dirty’ water container about 4 times in total. It scrubs the floor very effectively, and picks up everything, including the smallest of dog hairs. The floor dries very quickly. The cable is long enough to do large room without relocating, but not so long that it becomes a pain. The Bissell Pet cleaning formula removes almost all dried in marks, and smells very fresh - the consumption rate is moderate (about 10 to 1 concentration I think). The only shortcoming (previously mentioned by others) is that it leaves a small strip unscrubbed around the edges; i cure this by using a dish brush to scrub there and then use the machine to clean up the arisings. The water it brings off the floor is satisfyingly filthy, but notably the scrubbing head remains pretty clean throughout due to the design. The dirty container is not huge, but that actually makes it easier to handle. The solid waste catcher works well, and reduces the amount of solids you would pour down the drain very considerably. The airway cleaning stand works well to ensure that the machine is left clean, and other cleanup simply involves rinsing out the scrubber head and the plastic water container and filter; these have to then be dried for 24hrs. Spares are available on various auction sites (and Amazon…). The item is pretty light even when full, and is very manoueverable, the head is just narrow enough to fit between the legs of dining chairs without moving them. The area rug mode works pretty well (not as well as a proper carpet cleaner, i think because the scrubber head is quite soft, but does a reasonable job - you can buy an aftermarket head specifically for rugs, though I haven’t tried it). Storage space is the footprint of the machine (its probably too heavy to hang up). You could use it for spot clean ups (it does that well), though that isn’t really what it is designed for. Reliability good so far - I’ve used it a fair few times. All in all - a good machine that works well at its specific task and is relatively easy to set up and clean up afterwards. Update @18 months use. Still works brilliantly.

Makes cleaning a whole lot less miserable 😁
Makes cleaning my concrete floor a pleasure! Takes the hard work out of a difficult job. We live on a farm, have 4 cats and two dogs plus a large open plan living kitchen diner - a cleaning nightmare! Washing the floor with a mop an absolute no go - just moves the dirt around and streaks horribly! I agonised over buying a floor cleaner for ages - such mixed reviews - but I bit the bullet and am glad I did. This cleaner actually lifts the dirt and cleans, and my floor actually shines when it’s done. Plus the special ‘pet’ liquid doesn’t leave that temporary shine that immediately goes cloudy and shows every footprint! My floor is clean, naturally shiny as polished concrete should be and seems to stay clean for longer. Oh and it smells lovely! I Don’t know how I managed so long without it. Note of caution - it is not a floor polisher, and it does leave a 2 inch gap around edges which may bother some. However, it does clean properly with minimal streaking and a natural shine. It’s polished enough for me and I can live with the edges that don’t get dirty anyway. Also, while it does vacuum as well, I always properly vacuum first with my trusty Henry, otherwise I’d be dealing with ‘orrible mess (pet hair) when emptying. On that note, it’s easy to clean and store. Definitely my favourite purchase this year (and I hate cleaning lol 😂) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Useful Piece of Equipment
This cleaner is so nearly perfect for our needs. As the advertising says, it has both clean and dirty water tanks and also vacuums up bits on the floor, so no need to vacuum before cleaning, unless you have a large amount of litter on the floor. We've been amazed at the amount of dirty water it collects and the amount of dog hair contained therein from our two Labradoodles, who DO shed (that's the trouble with steam cleaners, as far as i'm concerned, they put water on the floor and leave it there so the dirt doesn't really get picked up). It's also great not to have to kneel on the floor to give it a good scrub by hand (which is what i'd previously resorted to) Downsides: As previous reviews state, it doesn't clean right up to the cupboard plinths, so you really need to wipe the last inch/couple of inches with a cloth. Also, we have tiles that aren't smooth, sort of a stone effect, which tend to collect dirt in little corners. Whilst the cleaner does a good job of keeping them clean it doesn't get into all the little spaces, so i had to scrub every inch of floor before starting to use the cleaner for the first time. Once I'd done that, it's doing a pretty good job of stopping any more pockets of dirt forming

Excellent recommended
Works like a charm on carpet or hard floors as it said it would very happy, I have dogs with often muddy , wet or sweaty feet on hard floors, and visitors dogs sometimes leave deposits on the upstairs carpets, not my dogs deposits too small for mine! Gives piece of mind that carpet given good scrub and disinfected using this machine after cleaning manually. I will vacuum with a pal called Henry first as my dogs have long hair and I do not want the rollers to be clogged by it, Extremely easy to use , and clean afterwards. Really very helpful as I I cannot use woolly nor pad type mops as I have issues with balance and breathlessness. This I can manage as it is just like an upright vacuum and it works wonderfully! Awesome floor cleaner, makes cleaning up after pets easy.
It cleans pretty well, its easy to empty and keep clean. It is very powerful, but if you have lots of dog hair to clean up it can be a bit too much for the size of the pipes so I find I have to do a general sweep up first but I've found using this so much easier than sweeping, then hoovering and the mopping. The cleaning solutions smells lovely too - since buying I have found that you have to use their cleaning solution or you invalidate the warranty that comes with the mop. I've also found its a little heavy for me I'm only 5ft1 though so its probably a me problem lol!

Broke after 9 months
Updated review: Started leaking and lost suction after 8 months. Bissell was as much help as a chocolate teapot, Amazon have told me to return the item myself and will return the cost. Problem is, no courier wants this oversized item! An absolute joke, avoid, this is the 2nd Bissell product I’ve purchased which has broke after a few months. Absolute garbage. Original review: This is a fantastic piece of kit, but you’ll need a second mortgage to pay for replacement filters and brushes if you use it regularly. It makes my tiles look superb, but the awkward design of the filter makes it impossible to keep it clean resulting in regular costly replacements. The roller brushes don’t last long either! On top of the cost of the Bissell cleaning fluid, it’s an expensive machine to keep running. Only proceed with purchasing this if you are keen about a clean floor and have a lot of disposable income. It’s a shame really as it is fantastic, I just feel like Bissell are laughing at me by creating a product which could be a little more eco friendly and cost effective with consumables.

it's OK for what it is , but don't expect miracles !
bought this second hand as didn't want to pay £300 for new one. not sure what difference the pet version has over the cheaper standard one as the rollers seem the same. the cable gets in the way and isn't very long but with an extension reel you can do the whole house without unplugging. having reviewed the cordless version, I decided the battery life of 30 mins wasn't good enough and only one is supplied, so you'd have to wait ages for it to recharge. The unit cleans well as long as the dirt hasn't dried/stuck onto the floor as the cleaning action is not strong enough to lift stubborn dirt. you also need to go slowly with this unit to give it chance to lift up the dirt. it does appear to leave the floor quite dry. Suggest stopping and cleaning out the dirt collection tray and filter regularly. Hairs do still get wrapped around the rollers so need to clean them manually also, and not rely on the self clean function which is fairly pointless. Overall it does clean the floors quite well and vacuums at the same time so thumbs up for that, but don't expect miracles, you will need to do additional cleaning to remove stubborn dirt or reach the bits this can't. ie 1-2 " along edges and under sofas etc. I don't think it would work well on rough surface tiles or deep recessed grout between tiles.

Do not hesitate. This is a fantastic product.
Normally I wait for the email from Amazon before I post a review but I went through the review process myself this time! This product is fantastic. We have a Black Labrador and cream ceramic floor tiles. I used to dread cleaning the floor, first hoovering then steam cleaning. This does both in less than half the time. A number of reviews I've seen mention the problem with cleaning the unit. There isn't a problem! It's so quick and easy and as the cleaner comes with a spare roller brush the other can be left to dry for next time. It also comes with a litre of cleaning fluid but I also ordered an extra one and an extra brush - just in case this product is ever discontinued! Comments have also been made about the inability to get right up to the skirting boards. Like one review said if you go up to the wall with the front of the cleaner there is no problem. My steam cleaner left more of a "border" than this product. Like I say don't hesitate this really has changed my cleaning life! (ps the cleaner is a little heavier than you'd expect but that also seems to confirm how robust it is)
