I bought these to mount on my Honda CRF 250L to carry a rifle or bow during hunting season. I also use them to carry an axe or hatchet when clearing trails or testing for review. I found these to work perfect for multipurpose mounts, simple design but functional. The area that holds your rifle itself is thick rubber with the ball at the top providing protection to your item. The "claw" can be stretched or compressed to fit particular items. The rubber straps are nice and can be wrapped in different ways to secure items of different sizes.I did not have room on my bars to mount these but my handguards had room. The mounts use the notch for round or reversed for flat mounting. The "claw" or what ever you want to call it can be swiveled to make sure both are parallel on tapered bars. Set it where you want them then tighten the wing nut.All in I am very glad I bought these, I need a second set for my mountain bike now for those areas closed to motorized vehicles!

These weren’t perfect right out of the box. No additional tools are modifying is required to hold my rifle very well riding my four wheeler through the woods hitting small to medium bumps.
