One of the best (and most humane) books on conducting modern business that I have ever read
This book is amazing. Just amazing.What an exquisite blend of practicality, idealism, business thinking for success, altruistic thinking for success, Western norms, and Eastern norms under one cover. What's more, authors Sanchez and Bullock explore effective ways to present information aloud and in print to a multicultural audience in which not everyone has the same cultural expectations.I'm 55 and somewhat set in my ways, but Sanchez and Bullock made me stop and think many times. A number of my expectations and actions are about to change.Intercultural awareness, respect, and networking are at the core of everything the authors write about carrying out global business in the 21st century. In fact, the book's approach reminds me of some of the great American philanthropists of the 19th century, people who wanted to improve the lot of average Americans because they saw beyond their needs and realized those of others. Unless one lives on a self-sufficient island, that is just good business sense. It builds trust and camaraderie while creating a win-win situation for all (which the book also discusses). I am proud of these authors for making business students and even successful businesspeople think beyond their insulation.We live in a world of opportunity and a world of business ventures, but also a world of... people.

A Complete Guide to Communicating Effectively
Even if you think you have mastered the art of effective global communication, you should still get this book. We all have gaps of which we are not aware and this book will bring them to the forefront and provide you with the information you need. This book even goes one step (make that a few steps) further by not only laying out the concepts and strategies, but also providing creative exercises and illustrations so you will be able to apply these principles in authentic situations. I also found it especially helpful due to the shifts we have all experienced with the pandemic as the delivery (and not just the content) of our messages is even more critical at this time. This book will not only improve how you communicate, but how you relate to others as well. I only wish this book had been available earlier in my career, but it is beneficial no matter what stage you are in. It’s a complete guide for the global professional, but also for any individual who wants to connect more deeply with the people and world around them.

A MUST HAVE FOR ALL GLOBAL COMMUNICATORS
As a graduating public relations student who is currently searching for jobs and building networks, I desperately need guidance from communications experts to get myself prepared before entering the global market. I'm so glad that I found this book because it provides everything I need. This book introduces many important communication concepts and explains them really well through real-life examples and daily work scenarios. The book also provides a lot of tips and tricks on how to deliver an impactful presentation, how to write an effective email to the global team, how to build connections through nonverbal communication, etc. I found Chapter 2 particularly useful because it provides practical methods on how to craft impressive elevator pitches, how to lead conversations during networking chat, how to follow-up effectively, and how to build relationships on a global scale, which are very relevant to what I'm going through right now. I definitely found myself more confident in the interview process and more comfortable connecting with communication professionals from all over the world. Highly recommended to anyone who sees themselves as a global communicator!

Great tools for improved global communication
"How to Communicate Effectively with Anyone, Anywhere" is an incredible resource for students, entry-level professionals, and seasoned global communicators alike. I found Chapter 2 (“Connecting with People: The Power of Meaningful Networking and Relationship-Building”) especially impactful. This chapter outlines useful concepts such as acting as a cultural ambivert, crafting an elevator pitch, and effectively opening/closing conversations. As the go-to-market lead for a global team, I’m always looking for ways to improve internal communications through strong relations with my peers. The book clearly describes how to apply each concept in real-life scenarios, so I feel confident that I can take these learnings back to my role.I highly recommend the book for audiences of all backgrounds. I work with people from diverse cultures. I've always had the goal to not just communicate effectively but connect more deeply. Did my supervisor understand the information in my email?
