I've had the device for a few days now, and have tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. I am impressed with the picture and the camera quality, but not so much with the app, and the connectivity issues. I was able to get it connected to my phone with no issues, and it worked great for about a day, at home and away from home. Today is my first day at work using it, and other than a very brief connection early this morning, it's been telling me it's offline all day. I have a dedicated modem and wifi signal at my house, and I know it has nothing to do with that. The app consistently times out when trying to view the camera, and also tells me that my wifi is offline. Another thing i'm not super fond of is the motion capture consistently blowing up my phone telling me a new video is recorded. I had to completely disable the feature so my phone didn't die in two hours because of it. I had high hopes for this camera, especially given the positive reviews, but after 3 days I'm feeling pretty confident i'll be sending it back and finding a better solution to keep an eye on my pet while i'm away.Update*** So after another day of messing with the camera, i've found out a few things: If you're on the same network the camera is on, connection is flawless. It kind of defeats the purpose for using it as a monitor when away from your home network though, unless you're gonna use it as a baby cam or something. I've found that I also have a better chance of getting a feed or connection from about 8am to 10am central time. I'm not sure if the servers that send through the video feed are less active at this time or what, but it seems to work a bit better during that time of day. As for any time from 11am through the end of the work day, it's been nearly impossible to get a video feed. i think the camera itself is great quality, but the App, or servers, or something with the feed/connection at the company itself can't keep up. I may keep fiddling with it for a few more days, as it seems like no matter how many reviews i read, i can't find a camera that works much better with the phone apps. I guess the cameras are great, but the supporting apps aren't. If anyone has a suggestion for a great camera and app combo, feel free to reply. Thanks.

I waited a little while before posting so I could give a really good review on functionality of this camera. First off it is inexpensive...not a cheaply made camera...but inexpensively priced which is a real plus. Second...I use this to watch my dogs when I am out...one of which has severe separation anxiety. I didn't need all the bells and whistles that some of the other, very expensive, cameras have. The picture is good in day vision and decent in night vision. I don't need HD quality...I just need to see if my dog is freaking out and this camera delivers but if you are expecting HD this isn't for you. I have ordered other cameras and have returned them so the fact that I am giving this one 4 stars is a miracle. App is not bad...it's pretty basic but it gets the job done. There is no zoom or camera turning but it has a wide view so I don't need that. I rarely have had issues with it connecting via my iphone which was a big complaint I had with other cameras. The Tech support people are quick to respond to e-mails...and I mean quick within hours. I really don't have any complaints...it's a good basic camera...yeah it lags once in awhile but for the price this was so worth what I needed to use it for.UPDATE. I have had this camera for 3 years now and I had to update the stars to 5. After 3 years it still works and works well. We used it all the time

I use an Android and I had a difficult time getting the camera to connect. It may have had to do with using a non SID broadcasting WIFI router. After screwing around with it for about 2 hours, I reconfigured my wireless router to broadcast its SID, deleted the entry for the camera, tried the process again and it worked. The included instructions are bad, there is no phone support and the online support is not so great either (I had to wait about 8 hours for an email response). The camera seems to function okay, the color is a little intermittent. I like the app, but am not confident in how secure the cameras connection is since everything else seems a little haphazard.

We bought this to keep an eye on our dog while at work/away for long periods of time. What I've found is that when it works, it's awesome. But it's so hit and miss. Whenever I'm home and on the same wifi connection, it's quick to respond but it kind of defeats the purpose since I don't need to view the app while home. Whenever I check at work it's 7 or 8 times out of 10 it says Not connected to Internet. When I was working from home yesterday I saw the red light blinking several times, showing it was getting bounced off our wifi. It's a cheap option however since it's not totally functional, we'll probably end up replacing it eventually.

Wonderful little camera!! I bought this item because I have two dogs that are somewhat mischievous. The camera was very easy to set up… That viewing app is very user-friendly! The picture quality is very good and the inferred quality was beyond my expectations considering price. I'm very pleased with this purchase!!!

I have had this product for over a month now. Very easy setup and installation. I was out of town for 4 days and had dog walkers come in and out while my roommate works long day hours. I live on the East Coast and had no problem pulling up the live camera pool side in Los Angeles on the hotel wifi. Turning on the mics via the Clever Dog app (I'm Android), I could hear my dog and talk to him. When I was boating on the water ... still no problem pulling up the camera again on my normal Verizon data smart phone. I bought the 32GB card as well which starts recording any time there is a movement. It allowed me to easily see when the dog walkers came and what they did with my pup. Look no further than this camera.
