Wicked and Ironic.
Pamela has a wicked and ironic sense of humor. I get to act old because I AM old! I was in college when she was born. Glad to know that I'm old but not brain dead. New challenge Pamela! Next write a book and call it "HOW NOT TO ACT LIKE A BABY! Life isn't all about YOU!" Your wedding DJ messes up? Someone "steals" the darling name you chose for your baby? It's about the stuff to get over. Now go write that book, Pamela. Please! Happy to know I've already quit doing a lot of the things she tells us not to do. Some stuff I will NEVER embrace. Tattoos? No. I do have a hidden wish I could starch and iron my birthday suit, but that would be painful. Does anyone out there even know what starch is? I do remember the 5 1/4" floppy dics, and no hard drive, no mouse, all the graphics are green...Or in the next step amber... Sometimes it's OK to act old in the interest of comfort, and ability. (My walker won't fit on a treadmill.) Thanks Pam. Do it again!

Could be called "R" rated on some of the points they mention
I have enjoyed some of it but some is quite filthy to say the least. Disappointed.

Some good advice that I'll probably ignore
I'm guilty of lots of the things mentioned in this book, probably because I'm quite a bit older than the author. I have no idea who many of the famous people mentioned are but I do know the difference between motorcyclists and bikers. I also know rappers don't have songs, they are just tracks. I hate Rap and HipHop and don't care if it lets you knowI'm an old guy!

This was actually pretty funny
As long as you read as tongue in cheek humor, it was pretty funny. Especially when you’re old. Like I’m cruising speedily down the late middle age hill about yo hit where they start sending aarp and Medicare packages. Glad I had this book to make me act younger!

Improve your own life, and stay out of mine.
I have earned the right to look and act old, and I really don't care if my actions, fashions, and morals offend the brainless wonders who offer such worthless advice. My personality and habits have been formed over my 73-year lifespan, and if I change anything, it will not be because of anything I read in this book.

Needs updating and editing.
Lots has changed since this was published and it could really use updating. In terms of editing, it needs more hints for men (and less backhanded man bashing,76) and should totally drop the political views (161).

I never Knew I Acted OLD!
I had a great time reading this book and seeing myself for what I really am...OLD! And I love being old. I didn't know that until I read Pamela's book. I have decided I earned every wrinkle and gray hair and I'm going to wear them proudly. I'm not giving up my Granny panties. I'm firm on that. The evil young will be old one day and then they'll be sorry they made fun of us! That's okay because By then there will be a whole new generation of evil young and the circle of life will go on and on and on. Thanks for the fun read!

I'm a young 65 and...
I bought this book because I finally realized I need to start dressing my age....even though I only look around late 40's or early 50's. Have no idea what's appropriate to wear or say anymore. The book is enlightening and funny....but the language is crude...as if written by a "sailor". I was surprise...the swearing actually takes away from the message of the book. Wish I hadn't bought it.

Borrow, don't bother buying
I concluded that it was written with tongue in cheek using "research" acquired from the writer's teenage son. The author isn't anywhere near "old" enough to be offering advice on "old". She's not there yet. It was a collection of good laughs mostly, but at a certain point, you don't care what she has to say; you've carved out your zone in life and you can go with the flow, adapt to anything with your well-honed sense of humor, and if something throws you about the youth-oriented culture, ask them about it. They are only too happy to share. It will be the book you see at garage sales....that is where mine went! No problems with ordering or shipping.

Truly funny, but wondering at times if young people really behave that way or if it's a joke from the author
What a delightful sense of humour! However, I was truly looking forward to read about young people's behavior and, hopefully, understand them. The book helped to a certain extent, but leaves you wondering at times ... is this a joke or is this how they behave? Perhaps more research should have been done to give the book some credibility.
