how do i know what size mesh full body sling i need?

Neither sling I bought for my Mother worked. She needed a small, and apparently they don't sell that size. I bought 2 different styles, and the caregivers still have to lift her manually. It was a total waste of money.

I have one and use for my 5 ft tall Mom and am very happy with it. The piece of CRAP sling that Medicare provides with most lifts is VERY unsafe. This sling has the capacity of up to 600 lbs. It measures 55" long head to bottom and anywhere from 28" to 39" across in asst places. Very safe and comfortable for transporting from Bed to wheelchair or back!

Will this enable me to lift someone onto and off the commode?

Yes, it is a patient lift sling that allows you to bring the patient to any point where the lift will go, however, most people buy these the version with commode opening so they don't have to be removed from the sling.
