Fantastic product
Fantastic product. Pillar on Jeep peeled off. Replaced with this vinyl and looks brand new. First time doing. Ended up doing all 6 locations in about 2 hours. Heat gun is the key. No rips or tears. Just take your time to clean before. When trimming to car, cut slow.

Good stuff - got the job done
I used this stuff to wrap the front of a portable AC unit. All of the furniture in my basement is black or with a wood grain pattern so the white AC was really out of place, it was practically glowing. I should preface this review by mentioning that I have never wrapped anything before. A while back I considered wrapping my laptop but with the way I'm so particular about very small details I always felt like the wrapping process would drive me crazy and I would never be happy with the end result. This AC project didn't require nearly as much precision as wrapping a laptop so I was willing to give it a try. The end result was pretty good. I ended up with a few creases toward the bottom around the left hand edge but it's virtually impossible to see that. I was mainly concerned with getting the front of the unit a smooth matte black. Mission accomplished. This wrap was fairly easy to work with. I was able to pull it off and re-apply it over and over as I worked my way down from top to bottom. I didn't have a squeegee or whatever other tools you're supposed to use, instead applying it by hand all the way down. I didn't use any heat at all either. On the bottom I had about a half inch of fold under so I used some electrical tape to secure the bottom edge. I'm not sure how well it will hold up but since it will be inside I think it ought to be fine. If it starts peeling off I'll have plenty more to try it all again. Final notes: - Dimensions: I dunno what dimension is supposed to be 2 feet, but this roll was absolutely not 2 feet in either dimension. I haven't completely unfurled it but I'm assuming that's the 5 foot dimension. The roll I received is 3 feet tall. So I'm pretty sure I received a 3'x5' product. This worked out ok but I was counting on the 2' roll as I would have only had to cut out my piece in one direction rather than trim it in two directions. - Packing: the outer packaging was a sturdy cardboard box with some paper which offered ample protection during shipping. However, there were two very annoying pieces of tape used to keep it from unfurling in its packaging. This tape left a slight oily sheen on the matte surface which I didn't realize until after I had cut the piece to size and applied it. I was able to "buff out" the oily sheen with a dry rag.

Best of many challenging options.
Very easy to install on a flat surface in a cool room. But! You might need to install this outside (we don't have a garage) or under warmer conditions (hey, you only get the time you get) or on a highly curved surface (like... parts of many car panels). And it's hard. The videos make it look easier than it is. I'm handy, and it's still tough. A couple hours to do the hood, and there are imperfections that annoy me. When it gets warm, it gets too sticky, and then it's hard to adjust and get air bubbles out. If you need to wrap onto contours, it will want to wrinkle. It's very challenging to get it to lay flat. Sometimes, for large enough contours, it just cannot stretch enough to lay on the surface. Getting the edges right is tough. The material will contract slightly when heated, or recoil slightly from the stretching you needed to do to get it into place, revealing the material underneath. It's tough to cut it evenly, and *not* to scratch the surfaces underneath. It's tough to heat up the material enough to get the stretch you need without overheating it. In the videos people use blow torches, but this is very tricky. The best tool for us, in the end, was just a hair dryer. The end result in our case was that most sections of the material look awesome, maybe 99.9%. But that last 0.1% is noticeable if you're looking for it: little wrinkles in a couple contoured spots, little exposed edges near difficult-to-cut spots, and some places where the matte has relaxed into more of a shiny finish in overheated spots. If you realllly want to change the color of a panel of your car, and you don't want to pay a professional or make it permanent, then this is probably the best option. Just get ready for several hours of frustrating work and an imperfect finish.

I'm amazed at the durability of this stuff on the outside of a car. 1 year and still looks great and was easy to cut and apply.

Easy wrap to install and looks good
The wrap is super easy to install because it doesnโt set until you apply heat. I bought a cheap heat gun and easily set it in place. Because it doesnโt set until you apply heat. It was easy to reposition so that it fit perfectly. It was much easier to use than other wraps. It made installing the wrap stress-free.

Not what I expected at all
Update on customer service: So I sent pictures and comments to the warranty department with vivvid. You would be lucky to get a refund. They won't give me anything saying there is no problems with their product. Basically user error. This is my first time wrapping. But I watched countless videos before I attempted it. The wrap around the curves of my car are peeling away. I did not stretch over these areas and heated plenty to get a good bond. All flat areas were glassed. I bought a kit to make sure I had a squeegee to take care of the bubbles. The seams were overlapped at least a quarter inch and still managed to shrink to the point of seeing paint. And it also cracks on its own when it cools down. The heat from the sun showed all the imperfections. This is not from user error as everything was cleaned thoroughly and done the way it was suppose to be. So please if you are debating on getting this crap vinyl don't. Spend the extra money and get 3m or Avery. I hope nobody buys this vinyl ever again. I used this wrap to put on my mustang. Let me tell you it is very difficult to work with. I did everything the way you are suppose to. I wiped everything down with alcohol and sprayed everything off with an air hose before I applied. I heated it, stretched it a little to where it needs to go. I have areas pulling away. If it's hot on the car it bubbles up. If it's cold after being hot it cracks. And it just keeps shrinking. It's does not hold at all in the creases of the car even after heating it. It leaves wrinkles and bubbles everywhere that are impossible to get out. I tried everything to make it look good. I have never been so upset with myself buying something. I'm very handy and good with things like this. But this stuff is junk. I was only trying to wrap the ugly yellow mustang for my daughter because it's her first car. Now I am out that money and ended up with an ugly wrap job.

Good vinyl, simple to apply
I used this to wrap some off-road lights on my vehicle. They only came with amber covers, but I needed something that would fully block the light, so I decided to use this black vinyl. It worked really well for that purpose. The material is easy to work with and applies without too much difficulty. Once installed, it gives a clean look and does exactly what I needed. Overall, a good and versatile vinyl thatโs easy to use for custom projects.
