Great
My students are learning about the Solar System. This is a great book to help them learn.

The grandsons. Love science and Miss frizzle is all about science.
I read these books to our kids or in their mid to late thirties. Ms. Frizzle is still exciting and takes you to incredible places where you can't go normally. I love the science and exploration that it takes 5 and 7-year-olds. I love the magic School bus

Educational Classic!
I read this to my fourth grade students when we did a short introduction to astronomy unit and they were hooked! They had a short "research paper" on the planets to do and they all used this book as a resource due to the great facts and information that is packed in it. Even my reluctant learners were captivated by the story and imagery. I love all of the Magic School Bus books, but this one is my favorite.

Perfect Classic
This is a classic book, and my wife had been wanting it for a while. She got it for a school lesson, and she was very happy that she got it instead of using the old one since the pages and the pictures were super crisp. We had an old copy, but it was getting very tattered. This is just like the original, and the kids loved it. The age group is preschool, so I would not recommend it for a whole lot older.

Who needs school?
My son loves these. He is seven, in first grade, and learned the planets from this book and the video. We went to a function in a public library, and he walked up to the model of the solar system, named each planet, discussed which were gas giants and wondered about Pluto. My only problem with the series is that the extra notes all over the place make the books hard to read, and it is not always obvious whether the text or the dialogue comes first, and many times they repeat each other.

Updated facts, students loved it!
During out section on space, I read this book to my preschoolers and they LOVED it. They even questioned on what gravity is (each planet has a child with a scale comparing weight on every planet and Earth) and I was extremely happy to simply explain it to them, and we even turned it into a movement activity after finishing the book!If you want to step up your Solar System lesson plan with an interactive reading, all you need is this book and a bit of imagination and quick thinking!
