Best so far
Since the introduction of clip-on tuners I've owned a Snark (it broke after a few weeks), an Intelli (erratic and inaccurate), D'Addario Micro (ridiculously small display, erratic and inaccurate) and, the best of the lot, a Mastercraft LT33 which came as a freebie with a Morgan-Monroe mandolin from the Mandolin Hut. After six years of trouble-free use on my guitars, mandolins and ukulele, I needed a replacement for the Mastercraft (still works fine but the head spins around). The Scheffy is similar in shape and size to the Mastercraft and, although I haven't had it for enough time to comment on its longevity (only time will tell), I can say it has already staked its claim as being the best tuner I've ever had. Good strong clip, a tight, rotatable head and, best of all, a display that beats any of its competitors listed here for both accuracy/stability and visibility. Worth mentioning, also, that it is the only tuner I've had so far that has a grip deep enough (just about) to clip onto the headstock of my Ovation mandolin, so its boast that it will do for almost any stringed instrument (my autoharp is an exception!) holds true for me.UPDATE: Having had this tuner for some time now since my original review, and having used it daily, I can say it has more than lived up to my expectations -- so much so in fact that I have bought two more.

Must Buy
I have always had issues trying to keep my guitars in tune and have used other tuners that just didn't work as expected.Lately I found myself taking my guitars to a local guitar shop and letting the expert tune it the right way.Well I can now happily say goodbye to that as my first guitar I tuned with this tuner was an acoustic and found it incredibly easy to use showing me if I was sharp or flat and finally lighting up bright green letting me know I was in tune.I couldn't wait for this to arrive and try it on my own after seeing Jason Scheff,Keith Howland and Tim what album haven't you been on Pierce become impressed with it and I suddenly found out why when trying it out on my own.For Jason to put his name on it I knew it had to be good, I just haven't seen a more accurate easy to use tuner before. It has a clip for you to clip on that won't harm the finish of your instrument and is compact for you to use at home or on the road.Best part is when you open up the package and see an autograph from the man himself on the packaging Jason Scheff, along with a steal of a price makes this tuner a must get.Id highly recommend this tuner to anyone from novice to professional

& a PDF with useful info about the product
Jason Scheff contacted me by email prior to the arrival & again after the arrival to check on the status of the shipment, condition of the product after arrival, & a PDF with useful info about the product. I can't say enough about the experience. I rarely write a review, but Jason & the company has been top notch. The design, layout, & quality construction of the tuner is great. I had a student give me a Snark tuner in the past & as many people find out with a Snark the swivel design is prone to breakage. You will not have this problem with the Scheffy.Principles are a big thing with me & if Jason will go to this kind of effort for customer satisfaction on something as small & cost effective as their clip-on tuner it shows what kind of company he runs & the experience he wants for his customers. I've been playing for 35 years. You can't go wrong with them!

I love it! Simple to use
. I love it! Simple to use, makes tuningfaster. I was using my keyboard to tune my guitars, (I have four) but this tuneris great. Just clip it on the headstock and go. I would recommend this tuner toeveryone. I did buy a Roadie tuner, but the one thing they neglected to tellyou, is it doesn't work as a stand alone tuner, you have to have an iPad or aSmart phone to use it. I don't have either. I was very upset. I assumed I couldjust use it as a tuner/winder. Wrong! I am selling it. Thank you for developingsuch a great little tuning device. I did buy another tuner awhile ago, but itonly lasted a very short time, and it died.

Good little tuner for the low price
Good little guitar tuner, brightly lit and easy to see/use. Price is about as low as you'll find unless you purchase a multi-pack. Comes with a functioning battery - it can be changed easily. Access to battery is not super tight and should be left alone to keep it from loosening.

Buy this and be happy
I have many Snark and Korg tuners. I bought this purely on price and prime shipping. I am more than pleased. The tuner is easy to read and swivels for good placement. There are settings my other tuners do not have that allow the reading to adjust for different key signatures. For example, B-flat as shown on my trombone. Accurate to the same cent as the Snark

Good enough for wireless work, but...
It's OK for guitar, not so much for a 5 string bass. The low B just doesn't register very well even on Bass setting. The other strings usually register OK, not especially sensitive, but generally usable. I also use it on my electric guitar. Haven't had a chance to use it on my acoustic guitar yet. I bought it because I was originally using a wireless guitar transmitter and needed something to use without a cord. Having previously used a Boss Tuner pedal, I was hoping for this to work better than it does. If you need something cheap and usable when wireless, get it. But if you're wired, and can afford the Boss Tuner pedal, get that instead.
