Leaky no mo’..
Purchased this Watts temp & pressure relief valve to replace an old leaking unit. My water heater needed a nice consumable component replacement after 26 year faithful service. Glad I bought this via Amazon and did the work myself with the guidance of a few DIY YouTube videos. I didn’t not have to purchase any fancy specialty tools as this particular valve can be removed and installed with a regular plumbers pipe wrench & some muscle persuasion. Just make sure you used some Teflon tape on the threads to seal the deal on the new install. This Watts valve worked as intended sealed properly and the weeping leak my old valve had because it failed to seat properly is no longer there. Yes, I also tied the bang on the valve trick on my old unit to get the seal to sit, incase some inquire. But with this new part I don’t have to do that nor worry about doing a relief test and not having the unit seal after wards, so new part win, win all around. Saved a lot of money doing a self install over having the plumber come and do this task. Thanks to Amazon for fast delivery and availability of the part.

Nice quality, but too short for my water heater
Solid construction, but not long enough for my water heater (mine requires a valve that is 2 inches long to get past the insulation in the side of the tank. This one only extends 1 inch past the corner. Head's up to buy the right one. I'll be looking to return this one. No issues with quality. Just not long enough to reach the threads in the heater.
