Buy this for your back. Don't bother with the plastic ones at the Big Box Stores.
I've had this for a few months now and it has held up well. It has a long handle that allows me to reach the middle of my back over the shoulder. The bristles are boars hair, and they really scrub well. I use a Command Strip hook attached to the shower wall to hang it and it dries out quickly. It may be advertised as a dry brush, but it works well as a wet shower brush with liquid body soap. I did replace the hanging string with a nylon cord, but other than that it remains intact as purchased. The wood shows no sign of deterioration. I hope it makes your back as easy to wash as mine.Update Nov 2018: Purchased Nov 2016 and it is still going strong. A slight darkening of the wood at the very end of the bristles where the water collects after being hung up, but it has not lost any bristles. If they continue making it, I am certain I will buy another when that need arises or as a gift for someone else.Update Dec 2019: I came back to buy another and it appears it is no longer available. Shame on me for waiting. I have used this brush in the shower for nearly 3 years and it has just started to lose the bristles. So far I have looked for a replacement that equals the length and curved handle to end up dissatisfied in the options currently available. Mostly the newer products available claim a long handle when they are not, the handles are also not curved. I hope these are marketed again, and I will keep looking for it. Charging more would not bother me because it works.P.S. I have always kept this hanging up in the shower, and it as I said above held up well. The head has never come off and just recently it has started to show real ageing such as cracking and bristle loss.

Wouldn't purchase again
Long handle, I like that! Stiff brush..I LOVE that! But..before too long, brush would disconnect from handle frequently while using, which was really frustrating. Now it's been about 7 month now, the lacquer is gone from alot of the wood. Seems moldy. At the price I paid for this was 19.00, I kinda think it should last longer. It was only a few months before brush started falling off handle. I notified amazon, but I presume because out of 1 month period, I didn't hear back. Oh also maybe because I didn't do it under feedback, just an email to Amazon...my bad.But like I say, I like a strong brush..yes it had that. Long handle...yes. Just don't like the mold and brush falling off handle. Would not buy again.To use as a dry brush...I still think the handle might fall off.

I thought that the bristles wouldn't be hard enough, but I was quite surprised. They are actually quite rigid. They are soft enough to where they don't scrape my back but hard enough to really scrub away the grime of the day. The head of the brush has yet to come off. I've had the brush for about 8 months now and it remains in the shower. So, it is constantly getting wet, yet it still functions as well as the day I bought it.

My back feels so good!
I absolutely love this brush and it is all that I hoped a nice bath brush would be. The handle has a very nice design and is perfect in length and comfort. The brush is the perfect texture not only for a good scratching and exfoliating, but I just feel like I really got my back clean too! Now, if the bristles hold up for a good length of time, I will be a very happy camper. I cannot imagine anyone that wouldn't enjoy one of your brushes. Great, well-designed and good quality product for a reasonable price.

Fallout?
I tested the bristle fallout on my hand right out of the packaging. It seems to shed quite a bit when I scrubbed it over my hand. At the time this was one of the longest handled brushes that didn't detach, so I got it. I'll probably try an acrylic bristle brush after this one.

Glued together
It works well and is as described as far as the brush being non-detachable. The reason for my lower rating is that the pieces were glued together with wood glue. You can see the glue around the handle. Still sold for full price.

Overall was not a great quality.
Handle was not extra long nor ever long enough to reach same place older regular brush did. they just made it narrower to look longer.Bristals were too short and soft and fell over. Overall was not a great quality.

This is a great bath brush and its bristles are firm the length is about 20 inches. Its description is what it says.
