Legion: Secret Origin

Once again Paul Levitz proves that he truly is "The Master" where the Legion is concerned. This expanded retelling & revamped origin of one of DC's greatest teams is a welcome return to Legion excellence. It leaves you wanting more and wishing for a return of the Legion regularly with its full cast and truly Universal Galaxy spanning adventure.

Art is too flashy, loses in story. Story itself was good idea, but some of the dialog, could have used a lot more help. I expected better from this author.

I read this twice each time I have picked up something new. I have read it on my ipad2 so you can go panel by panel. Good writing, keeps your interest, has cyborg orgin, which is very well implemented. If buying for kindle remember you will not have panel by panel ability.

not a great story

While I think that DC is a little obsessive about the sequence of the events that led to the origin of the Legion of Super Heroes, I found this particular take on the subject quite interesting.

Levitz knows his Legion, of course he spent many years on it up to 1989. Highly recommended for the classic Legion fan.

I like the way it starts out. How the "members" of the Legion was picked. I like how Paul Levitz rewrite and somehow keep the orginal story of the Legion intact.I also like the way they tell the story asbout this black stuff that is called it self the end off everything. Very good pencilled an inked by Bastista and Deering. But I wish it was litle more of how this black stuff could reach back in time to 31st century. I also miss out better story about the security directorate role toward the councilor. But the story is all in all great story and done it in exting way. Good twist to how it all started in the Legion.

nice product with a solid feel and good color and texture. The art is different than older "tellings" of the origins.

Paul Levitz has still got it all these years later! The Legion of Super-Heroes finally get an updated origin story! Loved it

Neue Version von der Gründung der Legion der Superhelden. Gerade das gleich mehrere der neuen Mitglieder im Fokus stehen, macht diese Version zu etwas Besonderem. Und auf dem IPad Comics zu lesen ist wesentlich angenehmer als ein alter Comic-Fan, wie ich es bin, erwartet hat. Werde die Abenteuer der Legion weiter verfolgen.

Es gibt nicht viele Autoren, die sich so mit der Legion beschäftigen wie Paul Levitz. Liebevoll, detailliert und frisch zaubert er immer wieder Stories aus dem Hut, die mich seit Jahren fesseln. Für Legionfans und Neueinsteiger unbedingt zu enpfehlen.

I have always been a fan of the Legion and I really appreciated the artwork in this book. I look forward to the next instalment

I've never read a Legion of superhero's story so I assumed that this book would be the best way to get introduced to the Legion for the New 52. I really wanted to like this book But I found the story to be slow and generally not at all interesting, It hardly explains who the Legion is and why they are forming to begin with, the Main antagonist of the book isn't at all clear as to why they are doing what they are doing, why we should care or who they even are. The art is average at best with nothing really sticking out as being amazing. This book is probably written for the Legion's old fans who want to re experience the origin but is overall a disappointment otherwise for new readers.
