Surely this can't be a good mouthpiece. After all
I know what you're thinking. Surely this can't be a good mouthpiece. After all, the Bach equivalent is around $130.00. Well, let me tell you these mouthpieces are incredible! I bought two of them out of sheer curiosity. I played a Bach megatone for all my legit playing throughout college. As someone who has a music degree, as well as taught a trumpet applied studio in grad school, let me tell you, these things are the real deal. I have this mouthpiece for about 2 days now, and I might be driving my wife crazy because I can't put my Bb down. I actually think these play better than the Bach. Very free blowing, and the sound quality is incredibly smooth. For $27 bucks, you could have to replace it every 3-4 years, and it would take you 12-16 years to equal the cost of one megatone.I'm sold. I'm playing this mouthpiece on a gig next weekend.

Great sound and fit for the price, but plating is wearing thin and concerns me.
This mouthpiece appears to be very well-made in every aspect except for the plating around the rim is already wearing thin after a few weeks playing. I loved the sound, but I am not sure I will continue playing it. I am a little worried about the potential harm of an unknown metal making contact with the lips everyday.Too bad; otherwise a great deal. It fits great in my Bach Strad 43 trumpet. Darkened and deepened my sound. I found my lower range was much more full and rich sounding. Higher notes are a little more difficult, but get a better, overall sound than my previous, Bach 3C. I also just bought a Blessing 3C and it is tight and stuffy sounding compared to this.

Great Mouthpiece Great Price!
This is a quality product. I have worked in the band instrument business for over 40 years. There is no reason to pay outrageous prices for mouthpieces when you can buy these quality products for a fraction of the price of a name brand. I bought two of these for my son who is studying music in college. He loves them and so does his trumpet professor. Save the money!

This is a great product, especially considering the price
This is a great product, especially considering the price. I have been playing on the same mouthpiece for years and decided to try something new. This one sounds great. The tone is rich. I read an earlier view where somewhere mentioned having to empty their spit valve far more often. I found this to be true for me as well, but as long as you don't mind that, it won't be a problem. The only actual issue I had with it is the mouthpiece does not stay in the trumpet. Most mouthpieces, you can twist it and it will stay securely in the leadpipe. With this one, it does not. If the trumpet is moved around quickly or turned upside down, it will fall out. I would not recommend this for a marching band type of use, you will definitely lose your mouthpiece. If this is for concert band where you are going to be playing seated or you wont be moving around, this is a great item. Overall, I am able to overlook that as I play stationary. For the money, you can not beat this. I would highly recommend this item.

A surprisingly high quality product
I bought this for my 10th grade son who was still playing with a 7C, hoping it was going to be adequate and if not sending it back if it and buying a Bach. That didn't happen. After he dropped this in he was amazed how easy he could hit the upper registers. I was amazed at the full, bright sound. This is a high quality product, more than I expected for the price. I would have gladly paid double to achieve the effect it has had on my son's confidence and enjoyment of playing.

It is a bit heavy but plays great!
There is a bit more resistance when I blow than what I am used to feeling. (I did a lot with plastic mouthpieces before I "graduated" to metal ones, so the differences are still being worked out between my embouchure, psyche, breathing and music making in general.) But I am growing into a familiar place or feeling with it the more I use it! Playing high is not an ultimate goal but making it a part of what I can do... Well, it can be part of my arsenal! Hah! The weight issue is the thing! Balancing the horn with this monstrous mouthpiece on there is another issue... But fun overall!

A great bargain for a really good mouthpiece
It's a nice looking piece for a very good price when compared to well-known brands. I don't have the kinds of measuring tools to see how it compares to known standards, but it feels right. Happy with purchase.

As good as Bach!
I know what you're wondering: is this mouthpiece as good as the Bach Megatone?Yes!!! I have played on a megatone for years. I decided to give one of these a try. It is every bit as good. In fact, I think I sound better on this 3C than I do on my Bach 3C, 5C, and 7C...My only regret is having bought Bach mouthpieces before instead of one of these... That, and I wish they offered more cup sizes. Maybe a 1C, or other sizes such as Bs and Ds, etc.The fit and finish is very good. It isn't as perfectly polished as the Bach, but it is also about $80 less expensive...
