Not worth the time or money
As a mother of a young girl, I want to encourage her to explore the hard sciences. I, myself, am an engineer and often am the only female on a team of highly skilled professionals. This kit was marketed as a way to encourage interest in STEM. I caution other buyers... This kit is a nightmare to assemble and flimsy once put together. It was a complete waste of time and was likely a deterrent from STEM as my daughter could not even touch the Ferris wheel without it falling over. Engineering fail. We tried to make it more stable using the various parts with no success. If you are using this as an introduction to engineering for your daughter, I do not recommend at all.

Motor doesn't have enough power to move the toy.
This product is poorly constructed. The only motor that comes with this product doesn't even have enough power to turn the "merry go round" much less the large Farris wheel. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Weak motor and poor customer service.
I am giving this product a single star because it is very disappointing as a product for children. My 9 year old daughter and I took the time to assembly the mini go round. She was very excited to have something that she can build with a motor. Once assembled as shown in the examples provided with the product, the mini go round would not turn. it turned out that the motor is way to weak to drive the mini go round. Instead we reduced the number of chairs to half the example shown and then it would turn. I have written to the company about getting another motor and they have not responded. We have not attempted the ferris wheel since it is much bigger than the mini go round and would definitely require more power from the motor to turn it. Without a functioning motor it has been a waste of money and is not being used.

Buyer Beware!
Incredibly disappointed with this item. Poor directions, poor construction quality, poor engineering. Motor won't turn merry go-round unless perfectly balanced and even then the item practically spins itself apart if it does get going. The Ferris wheel could hardly keep from falling over as built. This family has many hours working on numerous Lego projects and can honestly say this is absolute garbage as sold. If it were not a Christmas gift for our Daughter would have already asked for return/refund. Would not recommend to anyone.

It is a really neat concept. The motor didn't work as well as expected but the company was very responsive about it and shipped me a new one - still don't think the motor is great for the weight of the model but still is neat. Parts don't stay together as I expected - they have room to slide about which makes for many choices of placement but also makes it difficult to work with once you get multiple parts going together. Overall, I love the concept, but it could use some improvements in design. The weight of the ferris wheel and merry go round are just too much for how they are supposed to be designed.

Disappointed
Extremely disappointed with this toy. I had high hopes after seeing the toy on Shark Tank as many were. I had to help my daughters put the wheel together-helping more than I really should... The pieces were difficult to assemble for a young girl-they did not have the strength to push and keep the parts together properly. After building the wheel, it fell apart after a couple minutes. I tried to rebuild the wheel myself and still could not get the wheel to stand up on its own for more than a few minutes. The electrical/motor pieces were poorly build. One light barely worked and I had to tinker with it before it would stay on. The motor is weak so you can barely spin anything my daughters built. I ordered it well before Christmas thinking it might be out of stock as we get closer to the holiday. Because I ordered it in October, I'm unable to return it. Their website only accepts returns from their site and within 30 days of purchase. Warning to others, do not purchase!

Good building set but not for big ferris wheel design
If you are buying this because you want the big ferris wheel, don't order this. My daughter (7) and me had trouble getting it stable enough to support itself. My husband came & tweaked the design and made it ok but its not going to stay together. Not clear on how lights were supposed to be attached securely to any pieces. But my daughter loved building/playing with these easy to connect pieces - playground & house stuff. I was able to hook up a small ride with motor of our own design and it worked good. If you are having trouble with the spin motor, we found it needs to be balanced and doing a test spin to make sure connectors weren't too tight on the motor helped.
