I have 2 dogs. Jack Russell and Shiba Inu. I started giving them Flea Defender because I had them under a well known topical flea and tick repelent with chemical insecticides until they started to show signs of bad skin irritation and oversensitized skin where the juice was applied. During the last application, my shiba inu was miserable, the best way I can describe is he wanted to crawl out of his skin. He was in such pain. That's when I decided to look for a natural way to prevent fleas and ticks and I found Texas Pet Company Flea Defender. I was thrilled! First of, it is made in Texas! Second, my dogs love these chews, they think they're treats, and third it just works! I've been giving it to them for a year now, started while living in the suburbs. Now we live in the country in hot humid weather, with a bunch of insects and cattle around, yet my dogs are clean, no fleas, ticks or else. They're happy and I'm happy. Good stuff. Keep them coming.

Works very well. Doesn't hurt my dog's stomach. She eats it like a treat, no coaxing needed.

Being unable to utilize topical or oral flea/tick prevention treatments due to my chi's inability to handle the chemicals, I decided to try the above product. It works great for my chi. Unfortunately, my chi mix has American Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which is prone to skin allergies. I believe the yeast in the product caused the skin allergy to balloon out of control after roughly 2 months of use. It's a great product so far as I can tell. Haven't found any fleas or ticks on the dogs since starting the product. I plan to continue using it for my chi, since she actually likes it and is a very picky eater.

I really had high hopes for this flea medican. It was, from what I understood was a small company and I thought they would have something to prove and that it might work. My dogs enjoyed the pills, but evidently so did the fleas because they did not leave. I have since raeaceived another order which I did not place. I would not have ordered the first had I known I would be receiving more. I have not opened the Amazon package and I am not sure what to do with them. Amazon said that they couldn't help although it lkooks like the order may have come through them.

I won’t go back to the Vet for that expensive tick meds when this works great, my pug doesn’t have issues with ticks or fleas naturally and she likes the taste. She gets one everyday and it works , I’ve given this to her now for the second season and the first time I had her try this I gave her the recommended dose of two every day the first 3 months then one daily once it got into her system. She’s not had any ticks or fleas since. Great product!!
