DBPOWER Hawkeye-I Quadcopter 3D Flip 2.4GHz Transformable RC Drone/Car with 2MP HD Camera

I bought this as a trainer unit. Its purpose was to get me the muscle memory of joystick control before operating a "real" unit. This first thing to realize is that this unit is tiny. It is like 3" long in body length and maybe 7" prop tip to tip. That also means it is very responsive and maybe a little tricky to fly. It is also best flown indoors as its light weight makes for very flighty behaviour with the slightest wind. The unit is also clearly pretty cheaply made.With those caveats, this was a reasonable choice. It does fly well. The remote is indeed teaching me how to properly respond to flying.I would recommend anyone considering this unit to be sure to buy extra props. The unit come with one spare set, but I wrecked my first prop after about 30 minutes of inept operation on my part. I have been impressed at how tough the little guy is. It has crash landed more times than I can count and aside from prop damage (which is designed to be sacrificial) it has come thru unscathed. Don'the buy this for the built in camera, it is very crude.There are a fair number of online resources for this unit and if your goals are similar to mine, you will be reasonably happy with it...as I have been. Now on to something fancier!

I didn't realize it would be so small! Basically a matchbox car with 4 props. But that's cool because it's a lot of fun to fly in the living room. That said, this isn't a beginners toy. It is quick, touchy and maneuverable. In experienced hands it's very cool, in unskilled hands it'll likely hit something hard.Pros: Good quality, complete kit worked great right out of the box. Comes with spares and an optional big-wheel landing gear which is good for beginners. Has camera and video capabilities, mini SD card. Bright LEDs for night use. Decent price.Cons: Battery lasts about 10min of flight, takes 1.5-2hrs to charge from provided USB charger (I ordered a 5-pack of batteries at the same time I ordered the drone and I'm very glad I did, it's much more fun if you charge them all so you can play for awhile.) The manual was written by an ESL student and it shows.

The drone was a christmas gift for my boyfriend. He loved the present, but had some difficulty trying to figure out the controls. The battery life lasted approximately 7-10 minutes. The drone lights up, so it's easy to spot in the air. We loved how the drone has capability of flying and/or driving. Gives a lot more options to play with this little gadget.I think this product is perfect for testing out drones before buying a very expensive one.

These are great Drone's. Easy to fly and looks great at night. I recommend getting the extra battery's and you can fly for hours if you want. They fly a good 8 or 9 minutes, great indoors. I would give it 5 stars but when replacing a propeller the motor disconnected. So just don't put the propellers on to hard and don't pull them off hard. Besides that great drone's! And I put a lot of hours on them, I fly for hours sometimes and they can handle it. The big wheels are fun too, you can climb over anything.

This is a great quadcopter for a beginner. The ability to push a button and then move a joystick to perform rolls out of the box is great. My only wish for this little guy is that the video camera was centered more to the belly of the copter. It primarily points straight and I was hoping for the type of aerial shot that is more from underneath the unit.

Got this for my 12 year old. It's been fun for everyone. The big "stunt wheels" are great for learning to operate, as they protect in ways that normal blade protectors can't, and provide more use opportunities.We bought with 5 extra batteries and the charger that charges 4 st once, I would a DEFINITELY recommend that so that you can get nearly 1 hour play time with only roughly 1 hour of charge time. Otherwise it is 7-9 minutes of flight followed by 1 hour charging per battery (6 total batteries could be 6-7 hours).

Still trying to get this one dialed in. Camera quality is really good, but as for the flying, it definitely takes some practice. The quality of the quad itself seems good. It has had multiple crashes and no ill effect on the unit. the added extras to use on the copter are nice as well. I wish the fine tuning of the blades and instructions that come with it were better. I would suggest this is not one for the beginner (which I am).***Update - got a free mini drone to update my review.

A super fun quadcopter to play with. Performs the core essentials. I don't find myself using the extra pieces it comes with besides the rotor protectors for safety of blades and others.
