Peace of mind, delivered โ from anywhere in the world
Water damage is one of those home disasters you don't think about until it's too late. The YoLink Water Leak Starter Kit changed that calculus for me completely โ and the relief it provides is hard to overstate. Setup was remarkably straightforward. Getting the hub and four sensors up and running required minimal effort, which matters when you're dealing with hardware that's going behind appliances and under sinks. No wrestling with complicated configurations or cryptic instructions. The real magic is what happens once it's all running. If a sensor detects a leak, it automatically triggers the main water shutoff โ no intervention needed, no frantic rush home, no crossed fingers. That automatic response alone is worth the price of admission. But on top of that, I can shut off my main water supply manually from anywhere, whether I'm at the office, on vacation, or just away for the weekend. That kind of remote control over something as critical as your water supply is genuinely reassuring. The LoRa long-range connectivity means the sensors stay reliably connected even in spots where other wireless devices might struggle โ basements, utility rooms, far corners of the house. And the Alexa integration works seamlessly, adding another convenient way to interact with the system without reaching for your phone. If you're a homeowner who wants to stop worrying about what might be happening to your house while you're away, this kit is a no-brainer. It's practical, it's reliable, and it delivers exactly what it promises. Absolutely worth every penny.

Great for monitoring hard-to-reach areas
We bought the YoLink Hub + Sensor kit to monitor our attic water heater setup, including the T&P valve, cold water pipe, hot water pipe, and drain pan, as well as the water level in our basement sump area. So far it has worked very well. The biggest benefit is peace of mind. These are areas we do not check every day, so having reliable alerts makes a big difference. Setup was straightforward, the sensors connected without much trouble, and the system has been stable. Notifications have been timely, which is exactly what we wanted. If you need monitoring for places like an attic, utility area, or basement where early warning matters, this system is a great choice.

I now start all my conversations asking if people have a YoLink water leak kit.
My water heater ruptured a while back and I happened to be home so i was able to deal with it. But since that moment, my peace of mind every time i leave are my YoLink sensors. These sensors are not the most visually appealing and the app does not have the most stunning design I have ever seen; but these sensors just work. 1. Setting it up is easy, setup your hub, then add leak sensors with just a few steps. 2. Range is incredible, I have gotten people in very large homes to install them, homes that need 4-5 eero access points for coverage, and a single YoLink hub does the job. 3. I have found it very reliable, compared to an Aqara sensor i have that sometimes goes offline, never had an issue with YoLink. 4. Battery life seems to last an eternity. I installed these 6 months ago and battery reading in the app is still full, so it seems at least 1 year of life is easy to expect. Since installing these, now every time i meet someone, I tell them about the YoLink water leak kit. I also have gotten to the point of giving these as gifts as it solves a real problem. All in all, if you need a reliable, long-range, sensor solution for your home YoLink is the way to go.

Must-have protection: Caught a leak in the first week!
Iโve had a great experience with the YoLink Water Leak Starter Kit so far. It provides a level of peace of mind that is well worth the investment. I have sensors placed in several high-risk areas, including near my water heater. While that hasn't leaked yet (thankfully!), I also have a sensor tucked under my refrigerator. My fridge occasionally leaks water, and this system catches it and alerts me right away. The instant notifications are fantastic because they allow me to address the issue immediately. It has already helped me prevent larger cleanups and, more importantly, potentially serious water damage. Pros: Instant Alerts: The speed of the notifications is impressive. Easy Setup: The hub and sensors were straightforward to get up and running. Preventative: Truly helps stop a small drip from becoming a major headache. If you're looking for a reliable and responsive leak detection system, I highly recommend this starter kit!

Accurate and reliable
These leak sensors work well. The setup with Home Assistant was quick and smooth. I've got them monitoring my hot water heaters and two sinks. I tested them by dripping some water nearby, and they reported these "leaks" very quickly. This gives me high confidence in the sensors' ability to detect accurately. The only thing I've noticed is that they give false reports every now and then, indicating that a leak has occurred when it has not. This happens perhaps once every couple of month; that's the only reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 stars..

Good product
I cannot recommend the YoLink Water Leak Starter Kit enough. After dealing with a minor basement leak last year that went unnoticed for two days, I knew I needed a reliable detection system. I did a lot of research before settling on YoLink, and honestly, this system blows the standard Wi-Fi sensors out of the water. Here is why this kit deserves a full 5 stars: LoRa Long-Range Technology is a Game Changer: This is the main selling point. Unlike standard smart home devices that struggle to stay connected in my basement or utility closet, the LoRa (Long Range) tech punches through walls and concrete with zero issues. I have one sensor in a detached garage about 100 feet from the house, and it has full signal strength. Ridiculously Easy Setup: I am not a super technical person, but I had the Hub and all 4 sensors up and running in under 15 minutes. You just scan the QR code in the app, and it connects instantly. No fiddling with complicated Wi-Fi passwords for each individual sensor. Silent but Deadly Accurate: Note that these are the "Silent" version of Sensor 1. They don't scream at you with an onboard siren, which I actually prefer because I have pets that would be terrified by a loud alarm. Instead, the Hub handles the audio (if you want it to), and the phone notifications are instantaneous. I tested one with a wet paper towel, and my phone buzzed within 2 seconds. The App is Fantastic: The YoLink app is clean, intuitive, and lets you set up all sorts of automation. You can even configure it to send emails or texts to family members if a leak is detected while you are on vacation. The Bottom Line: For the price of a single plumbing visit, you get a Hub and four reliable sensors. If you own a home, this isn't just a gadget; it is essential insurance. Do yourself a favor and buy this before you need it!

A perfect system to prevent water damage in your home.
This Yolink water leak sensor system is really, really, excellent. I installed the hub and four sensors about a week ago and I am impressed. I first noticed the info about its LoRa radio link between the sensors and the hub. As an engineer I wanted to understand more about that technology. First, could it reliably maintain the link for that kind of distance, and second, can it do so with such a small battery draw to make it sensible for battery only powered sensors. If you read about LoRa on Wikipedia, along with the Chirp transmission method, you can see why itโs exactly the right radio link for small battery powered sensors at a long distance. Itโs the same type of low speed data link that scientist use to track tagged animals in the wild. They need a small battery powered transmitter to chirp a few bits of data for as long as possible and over the longest possible distance. LoRa does that. And now the people at YoLink have used the same technology to build what appears to be the ideal system for homeowners to prevent a water leak from destroying property. One tech note here. When I first deployed the sensors in a guest house about 150 feet from the hub in my main house, I saw that the sensors were running with a radio link receive level of about -37dbm. That info is available from looking at the phone app. That is a very strong signal despite five or six walls and150 feet distance. However over about a day I noticed the radio link level dropped down to about -100 dbm. Even though one would think that is a low level, itโs actually still a good signal for a LoRa link. I think YoLink has done a very cool trick and have the sensors drop the transmitter level over a period of time in order to conserve battery life, at the same time still maintain a solid data link. That is why they are able to get years of life from a set of normal batteries in the sensor. Itโs the perfect way to operate the alarm system. Loved the wired Ethernet connection option also. I suggest you use it instead of Wifi for the hub. I was so impressed with the initial hub and sensors after a couple of days I decided to go forward with purchasing the siren and water valve cutoff unit. I now have those in place and tested multiple times. The whole system works perfectly. When I place a moist paper towel under one of the sensors it alarms within seconds, the siren goes off, the water valve closes, I receive a notification on my iPhone, and an email as well. All four sensors were tested that way and they all four worked flawlessly. The hardware seems really high quality. Fit and finish, the cables for the hub and siren, and the sensors look to have good sealing to maintain the batteries in a dry and solid housing. I understand changing the batteries will be simple with just removing a few screws and taking the sensor apart. That is way better that just a clip like battery cover design. I did notice that the water valve hardware is not stainless steel. That will not be a problem if your water valve is inside, but mine is mounted outside. I plan to build a small housing to fit over the water valve to keep it out of the weather, along with keeping the steel hardware greased to prevent corrosion. But for the price, I think its an amazing device and system to same you from the disaster of water damage. Now a word about support, After I received the siren and water valve and got them paired to the hub it was not exactly clear if they were ready to automatically do their thing when a sensor alarms. So I called the support line and right away Clair answered and within a few minutes explained the process of getting things properly set up for automatic siren and water valve operation. She took the time to capture and send me screen shots of the app and stepped me through the process. The key is clicking on the Smart button on the app, then the automation button, then + to add a rule for each sensor. Itโs quite easy if you just hit those buttons in the app. Setup took no more that a few minutes. Thanks Clair. I get the impression that YoLink has set the standard for a perfect water leak prevention system. The fact thatโs itโs low cost is just an added benefit. And another note. My work involves taking care of high powered water cooled television transmitters across the country. I am planning to install YoLink sensors in every location. The cost is so low I will just add it to my monthly expenses. Itโs not even a capital expense to do such an important upgrade to my remote sites. Just get the things, you will not regret it. It is US wifi not Uk
Works well once reset to Europe wifi but it would not connect with their European/UK hub without a fair amount of resetting and liaison with tech support. I was expecting this so was not a problem for me.
