Leica LINO L2 Laser Level Self Leveling Cross Line with Pulse, Red/Black

I bought this laser cross-hairs level for a project where I was pouring concrete piers. I had the first one in, and had used a level and string to get the second pier level with the first. Then I used the laser level to level the last two piers, which worked out terrifically. But checking later the 2nd pier that I put in before the laser level was in my possession showed that I was too high by 1/2". Bummer. Had to grind it down. Wonderful thing, those diamond grinding wheels. Anyway, the laser was bright enough to use in sunshine if you shaded the spot you're checking, and use a white paper. On cloudy days I could make out the laser line on the concrete pier if I got close to it. The piers were spaced apart 8-1/2 feet, and I set the laser 2 feet back to get the forground pier to compare the back piers, so the max distance was around 12 feet. I used the laser with the cross-hairs to check the layout of the pavers going in, and found that they were not placed perpendicular to the line coming out from the wall. Got that taken care of with the company. All in all, it's been a worthwhile investment. Next project is indoors, putting in can lights in the crown ceiling living room.

I use this to check the level of body panels, plumbing, and large rotating turntables (6-10 feet in diameter) on commercial parts washing machines that I design and build. This little gem has saved me plenty of headaches down the road, by catching, among other things, future damage due to turntable wobble that only could be seen when the laser beam provided a reference. The laser projection at the limits of the beam does not fall off. It is bright end to end. Just be careful to lock the beam once it has stopped dancing around (finding absolute level), not immediately. it's made in China, not Austria. That doesn't affect the quality, however.

Have used this so much that all the printed text on it is rubbed off. Five years of awesome use. Then I had the battery door issue many others have had. :( It has treated me well for years, and I often refer to it as my most useful tool.

This gadget provides extremely wide-angle lines for leveling on the horizontal & vertical. The laser is quite bright for indoor use. I haven't tried it outside in daylight, but in general red-light lasers are difficult to see in daylight unless very powerful (and therefore potentially dangerous to the eyes). The kit comes with a nifty little tripod which is quite versatile, and a nice padded case. The unit itself is threaded for use on other tripods as well, which has come in handy on a number of occasions. Build quality is what I would expect from a Leica instrument - which is to say quite good. You get what you pay for.

I've been using this laser once or twice every week for the past 4 months and it is 100% dead accurate at 10 ft every time I set it up I have been using Bosch and DeWalt lasers costing almost $400 each for the past five or six years and not one of them has even been within in three sixteenths of an inch accurate at 5 ft I am thoroughly upset it is taking me this long to find this laser and I will never own a different brand for the rest of my working career!

What a pain in the A**! The battery case latch fits where two pieces of plastic join (design flaw #1); of course, the plastic weakens over time and, because the battery retaining springs push back so hard (design flaw #2), the latch simply pops back up when you try to close the battery cover. Ridiculous. STUPID design errors. Unusable.

Great really accurate laser from great company. We have used daily and have no complaints. It is more accurate then big box store lasers. ONE BIG CON battery door has been poorly designed and will break since it is only held in place by little plastic tabs. Knowing how much force you need to use to close it, due to rely strong battery spring connectors, it is destined to fail. Unless of course it has been addressed it's headquarters by changing battery door design. Which i noticed when i received slightly improved replacement part. Leica customer service was outstanding and three year warranty is hard to beat.

great laser level, only problem is with buttons (Hilti has them beat in that regard), they are kind of hard to activate/ push, other than that a quality product. Please make them with a green laser !! The magnet tripod stand is awesome.

La réputation de Leica n'est plus à faire, ni dans le domaine de la photo, ni dans celui des instruments de mesure. Le Leica Lino L2 ne déroge pas à la règle. Le packaging est déjà de très bonne qualité et son contenu est bien fourni. La housse est réellement pratique et offre une très bonne protection. Le mini-trépied est également très bien pensé pour faire face à de nombreuses situations. Contrairement à des produits concurrents, le point laser est parfaitement lisible même en situation de forte luminosité. Rien à dire sur la précision, ni sur les possibilités, c'est juste parfait. Cet appareil est très bien pensé. Certes, le prix est relativement élevé, mais au regard de la qualité de fabrication, des performances, des fonctionnalités et des accessoires fournis, on en a vraiment pour son argent.

Ich habe den Lino L2 für Baustellen gekauft, um kurze Nivellierarbeiten durchzuführen, Quer- und Längsgefälle zu prüfen und stichprobenartig die Leistung meiner Leute zu kontrollieren. Und das ohne den großem Rotationslaser bzw. das Nivelliergerät aufzustellen/aufzubauen. Der Lino ist echt klein und liegt mittlerweile immer Griffbereit im Auto. Mit dem Empfänger Leica RVL100 kann die Reichweite bis knapp 80m erhöht werden. Bei ca. 83m ging beim ersten Test das Signal verloren. Dies kann aber auch durch hochgewachsene Sträucher verursacht worden sein. Test wird bei Gelegenheit wiederholt. Den Höhenversatz bzw. die Messtoleranz konnte ich auf dieser Entfernung noch nicht überprüfen. Bei ca. 20m hat der Empfänger eine Toleranz von +/- 1mm. Der Laserstrahl hat bei dieser Entfernung eine Linienstärke von ca. 6mm. Ich habe mal fünf Bilder hochgeladen in denen man die Linienstärke des Laserstrahl in Abhängigkeit zu der Entfernung sieht. Kurze Beschreibung zu den Bildern: Der Strahl bei 1cm auf dem Gliedermaßstab wurde in einer Entfernung von 1m gemessen. 2cm bei 2m, 5cm bei 5m, 10cm bei 10m und 20cm bei 20m. Man sieht, daß sich auf den ersten 5m so gut wie nichts bei der Linienstärke (1-2mm) verändert. Bei 10m beträgt die Linie knapp 4mm und bei 20m knapp 6mm. Die Bilder sind in der Wohnung bei Tageslicht entstanden. Im großen und ganzen bin ich mit dem Lino zufrieden und kann den Laser bedenkenlos enpfehlen. Würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen. In Verbindung mit dem Empfänger echt zu empfehlen, sogar für Außeneinsätze, wo ich es die meiste Zeit für Verwende. Die tachymetrische Vermessung wird es nicht ersetzen, aber für "kleine" Vermessungsarbeiten nun häufiger eingesetzt. Und in Kombination mit einem ordentlichen Distometer kann man schon einiges vermessungtechnisch abdecken. Die an das Gerät gestellten Ansprüche werden vollkommen erfüllt. Kleines, handliches Gerät zur Überprüfung von Höhen, auch für den Außenbereich. Das mitgelieferte Zubehör wurde bereits von meinen zwei Vorschreibern ausführlich beschrieben. Das kleine Stativ ist wirklich ein Multitool und wird mittlerweile auch zweckentfremdet. Von mir bekommt der Lino auch 5 Sterne. Und preislich ist er mittlerweile auch akzeptabel.

Hacen lo mismo que los demas pero como es una marca fiable, me da confianza en usar lo par nivelar maquinaria de precision. Las lineas de lazer son muy visibles y precisos. Son caros pero como siempre, herramientas de alta calidad son fiables y no suelen dar problemas. Esto muy contento con la compra.
