I believe you are talking about the stainless vs platinum Astra blades. The platinum blades(green box) are smoother and the stainless are sharper according to many users. I prefer the platinum blades.

I have no idea if these are fakes nor any way of determining. never considered that might be a possibility. But they shave perfectly and hold an edge for a long time and every one is consistent. And I have bought them more than once and never an issue.

I’m not really sure if my hair is coarse or not by comparison, but I can say that these blades are much sharper and smoother than the blades that came with my safety razor. I feel little or no tug at all. Good luck.
